It's been an exciting few weeks for the team, and we're delighted to share some of the latest news from the world of Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor.
The annual Dovetail Direct showcase was packed with content and announcements for the game - this included our first roadmap for Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor! We also released a new livery for Thomas and introduced some of the team who worked on the game with a behind the scenes segment.
A glimpse into the future
Introducing the very first Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor Roadmap highlighting our future Add-On plans.
You can expect two additional character Add-Ons. Each Add-On will come with a new engine and more scenarios to experience life on the Island of Sodor. We hope you enjoy what’s to come, and we can’t wait to share more when it’s ready. We know many of you have already started guessing, and we love seeing the community discussions! Keep your eye on our social channels for when we share more information.
Alongside this, we’ll have our regular patches and updates to continuously improve the game for you all. Included within this, is our planned official expression wheel! This will be available across all platforms, you can expect to see this very soon!
Free Update for all: LBSC Livery for Thomas!
Our latest game update also introduced something many Thomas & Friends™ enthusiasts have been asking for—the LBSC skin for Thomas.
Available free to all Wonders of Sodor players as part of the latest patch, this special skin recreates Thomas' appearance inspired by the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway, celebrating one of the character's earliest inspirations.
Whether you’re driving the services in timetable mode, or simply exploring the Island of Sodor, you can now enjoy Thomas in this classic historical appearance. We always enjoy adding extras for our community, and we hope this new skin gives you another reason to jump back into the game and create your own adventures with a new character!
An interview with the team behind the game!
As part of the showcase, we took viewers behind the scenes of the game, giving a closer look at how the project has come together. We brought together members of the development and marketing teams to share their experiences working on the game.
It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce some of the talented people behind the project and celebrate the passion that's gone into creating an authentic Thomas & Friends™ experience. We'd like to thank everyone who watched. It means a great deal to us all. In case you missed it, you can catch up using the video above and watching the VOD.
