This year UNICEF USA is kicking off its Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign with a free pop-up experience from Saturday, September 26th through Sunday, September 27th at Nickelodeon Universe in East Rutherford, NJ.

During the Halloween season, the iconic theme park Nickelodeon Universe® inside American Dream transforms into Nickelodeon Booniverse. The activation will feature a Nickelodeon Our World party on September 26 from 11am-1pm, in celebration of the brand’s Worldwide Day of Play initiative, and will include a DJ with dance competitions, Nickelodeon character meet and greets, games and exclusive giveaways.
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF got its start in 1950 when a handful of kids in Philadelphia collected change in milk cartons to help children in post WWII Europe. Over the years, the campaign grew into millions of children bringing little orange boxes with them on Halloween night to collect coins while trick-or-treating. This Halloween, UNICEF USA is inviting people across the country to “Give Like a Kid Again,” and rediscover the generosity, optimism and belief that that millions of small acts of generosity can add up to something truly powerful for children everywhere.
