Earlier this year, the beloved animated preschool series, Peppa Pig, introduced viewers to a storyline in which Peppa’s younger brother George is revealed to be moderately deaf.

The storyline launched with a series of new episodes in which Peppa’s family learn that George has moderate hearing loss in one ear during a routine medical visit. As part of the storyline, George is fitted with a hearing aid to help him experience the world of sound in a new way. Across these new episodes, viewers followed George as he discovered new sounds, from splashing in muddy puddles to the ice cream van’s melody, culminating in a touching milestone as he says Peppa’s name for the very first time.
The episodes marked a defining moment in George’s character journey and build on Peppa Pig’s history of representative storytelling that reflects the real lives and experiences of children and families.
Now, Tonies, the world's largest interactive audio platform for children, is set to expand the storyline with the introduction of the George's New Sounds Tonie, set to be released on Sunday 13th September 2026.

For children aged 5+, the Peppa Pig: George's New Sounds Tonie comes with a hand-painted plastic figurine of George sitting wearing his hearing aid and holding his toy dinosaur, along with an audio book with 63 minutes of content from the storyline. To play the audio content on the Tonie, fans will need a Toniebox, however, it will work on all Tonieboxes, including the recently released Toniebox 2.
