How to Build a Bug Hotel! 🐛 | Easy Outdoor Craft for Kids | Stan & Gran and The British Hedgehog Preservation Society
🔥🦔 Protect hedgehogs this bonfire season!
Piles of leaves, twigs and garden cuttings can make tempting shelter for hedgehogs preparing for hibernation. If a bonfire is built in advance, a hedgehog may crawl inside looking for warmth and shelter - putting them in serious danger when it’s lit.
🌿 Instead, make a bug hotel! Use those natural materials to create a home for creepy crawlies and support a thriving ecosystem in your garden. The more bugs and insects your garden attracts, the more natural food there is for visiting hedgehogs! 🐛🦔
