Share it: @Nickelodeon @NickAnimation @SpongeBob

Nickelodeon today released a trailer for its all-new original podcast, SpongeBob BingePants (40 episodes), the official companion podcast for iconic animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Hosted by superfans Frankie Grande (Henry Danger) and Hector Navarro (Nickelodeon Animation Podcast), the weekly podcast takes a deep dive down to Bikini Bottom to celebrate all things absorbent and yellow and porous. Co-produced by Nickelodeon and iHeartRadio, SpongeBob BingePants will be available on iHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are heard starting Thursday, October 7.

Joining Frankie and Hector this season as guests are Carolyn Lawrence (the voice of Sandy Cheeks), Mr. Lawrence (the voice of Plankton), Kenny Pittenger (layout artist on SpongeBob SquarePants and storyboard director of Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years), and Jennie Monica (co-executive producer of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Patrick Star Show, and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years). Additional guests will be announced in the coming months.

In SpongeBob BingePants, hosts Frankie Grande and Hector Navarro re-watch every episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, starting with the iconic first episode, “Help Wanted.” Along the way, they will interview special guests from voice actors to veteran artists and uncover behind-the-scenes secrets about everyone’s favorite sea sponge.

SpongeBob BingePants is distributed by the iHeartPodcast Network.

About SpongeBob SquarePants

Since its launch July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has reigned as the most-watched animated series for 19 consecutive years, while generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony award-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is one of the most widely distributed properties in ViacomCBS Networks International history, seen in more than 150 countries, translated in 25+ languages, and averaging more than 100 million total viewers every quarter. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif.  The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurable optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends.

'Pinky Malinky' Theme Song | First Listen | Nickelodeon Animation Podcast

Clap your hands and stamp your feet along to this first listen to the theme song of Nickelodeon's upcoming brand-new animated comedy series Pinky Malinky!

Pinky Malinky creators Rikke Asbjoern and Chris Garbutt recently talked about creating the perfect theme song for their brand-new Nick show with Hector Navarro for the latest episode of the Nickelodeon Animation Podcast. Check out their discussion below!

Pinky Malinky is a brand-new fly-on-the-wall reality show that follows the everyday life of Pinky, an infectiously positive hot dog living in a human world. With his best friends Babs and JJ by his side, Pinky reaches for the stars in the small town of Sackenhack. Through his good spirits and sausage sensibilities, Pinky proves that a "wiener" is only one small letter away from being a "WINNER!"

Using the tropes of a mockumentary and reality show format, Pinky and his friends will talk directly to the camera and the audience to share their absurd and silly take on real life. At times, all children feel like they don't fit in and Pinky's undeniably unique point of view as a literal wiener amongst humans will allow kids to laugh at his familiar struggles and enjoy his unusual perspective on the challenges of being a school-aged kid. By always reaching for the stars, Pinky pushes himself further than anyone could imagine. Pinky and his friends' humorous experiences will also be shared across social media and Nickelodeon's digital platforms.

Co-created and co-executive produced by Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern (The Amazing World of Gumball) and executive produced by Scott Kreamer (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness), the trio are a part of the Artist Collective, an internal diverse group of experienced creators who mentor and support up-and-coming talent while also collaborating to cultivate, challenge and inspire Nickelodeon's development pipeline.

Pinky Malinky will star Lucas Grabeel (Glenn Martin DDS, I Kissed A Vampire) as Pinky Malinky, Diamond White (The Haunted Hathaways) as Babs Buttman, and Nathan Kress (iCarly) as JJ Jameson.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Calif., the original animated series will join Nickelodeon's growing roster of content driven by creators discovered all over the world.

Pinky Malinky will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2018.
