‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’ Sails Onto DVD, Blu-ray and SteelBook on March 31

Prepare to venture forth from the pineapple under the sea into uncharted waters in The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants!

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced their home entertainment releases for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.

The new film, from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, will be available to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD from Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Each release comes with over 20 minutes of bonus content. Fans can pre-order the Blu-ray on Amazon here (includes BD/DVD Combo w/Digital Copy) and the DVD on Amazon here. Walmart will also release a exclusive Blu-ray SteelBook edition of the movie, which is available to pre-order here.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is also available now on Digital and Paramount+.

Synopsis: SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail on their biggest adventure yet! When an attempt to prove he’s a true big guy accidentally summons the fearsome ghost pirate The Flying Dutchman, SpongeBob and Patrick are swept into a wild underworld quest. With colossal challenges ahead and a rescue crew on their trail, SpongeBob discovers that real courage shines brightest when friends face the unknown together.

Cast: Ice Spice (Isis Gaston), George Lopez, Arturo Castro, Sherry Cola, Regina Hall and Mark Hamill make up the voice cast alongside franchise stars Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.

'Nacho Libre' Lands on 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 9

Kino Lorber have detailed their upcoming 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Jared Hess' hit Nickelodeon Movie Nacho Libre (2006), starring Jack Black, Héctor Jiménez, Ana de la Reguera, Richard Montoya, and Darius Rose. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on Tuesday, December 9, and is available to pre-order today, including on the official Kino Lorber website and on Amazon.com.

Arrow Video Set to Release '90s 'TMNT' Movie Trilogy on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray

Arrow Video have revealed that they’re releasing New Line’s live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy for 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release in the US, UK, and Canada in December (the US release date is Tuesday, December 16, the UK date is Monday 15th December). There will be regular and Arrow Video Store exclusive packaging.

Either way, the set will include Steve Barron’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Michael Pressman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret of the Ooze (1991), and Stuart Gillard’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993).

Each will feature new 4K scans and restorations of the original camera negative (for the first film) and the interpositives (for the sequels) with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio and lossless stereo (for the first film) and remixed DTS-HD MA 5.1 and lossless stereo (for the sequels). Extras are TBA on Friday, September 26, but they will include new director’s commentaries and new cast and crew interviews for all three films, and more.

'The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie' 20th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Release Announced

Paramount Home Media Distribution will celebrate the 20th anniversary of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) with a brand new 4K Ultra HD SteelBook release, which is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 16th. The title will also come with a Blu-ray version of the movie as well as a digital code to watch the movie wherever you want. The set is available to pre-order today, including at Amazon.com.

Synopsis
