Nickelodeon Russia To Celebrate "День, когда пора играть 2017" On Sunday 20th August 2017

Nickelodeon Russia (Россия) has announced that on Sunday 20th August 2017, the number-one kids channel in Russia will celebrate the channels fifth annual День, когда пора играть, Nickelodeon Россия's local version of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play!

Nickelodeon is concerned about the health, well-being and development of children all around the world. День, когда пора играть 2017 aims to remind everyone how important outdoor exercise is, and how having fun outdoors and being in touch with nature nurtures better physical, emotional and cognitive development in children.

On Sunday 20th August 2017, Nickelodeon will go dark on-air for six hours between 12:00-18:00 to encourage children across Russia to go outside into the fresh air and play with their family and friends, whether in a garden, in a park or at a playground.

To celebrate kids' love of play, Nickelodeon will also be holding special "День, когда пора играть" events in Krasnodar (Краснодаре) and Nizhny Novgorod (Нижнем Новгороде), in which kids can take part in fun games, sports competitions, creative master classes, meet and greets with their favourite Nickelodeon stars, and much more! There will also be a cosy lounge just for parents!

Online at igraem.nickelodeon.ru, kids can find out День, когда пора играть 2017, find out about exciting local events and activities they can attend on День, когда пора играть 2017, and enter Nickelodeon's exclusive contest by telling Nickelodeon how they like to play! Winners will receive a aweslime Nickelodeon fidget spinner!

Fans are also invited to share how they're playing on День, когда пора играть by sharing photos and videos on social media with the hashtag #ДеньКогдаПораИграть!

Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s global ongoing health and wellness efforts and continues the network’s legacy of promoting positive messages to its viewers. 2017 to date, Nickelodeon has held WWDoP events in Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil and the Netherlands with upcoming activations slated to take place in Germany, the Philippines, Poland and Russia.

Nickelodeon Russia To Premiere "ToonMarty" On Sunday 14th May 2017

Nickelodeon Russia has announced the exciting news in a post on their official VK profile page that Nickelodeon Russia (Россия) will start to premiere and show the brand-new animated comedy series ToonMarty, locally titled Мультяшка Марти/Multyashka Marti, on Sunday 14th May 2017 at 11:10am МСК!

In the middle of Toonville (Мультвилля), where all cartoons live, sits the ToonMart, where all cartoons hang out. As the Number One (read "only") employee there, Marty believes his job is to stick his nose in everyone else's business... And there's no business Marty likes better than somebody else's business, except maybe show business! With every bend, bounce, flip and spin, Marty makes a great big cartoony adventure out of everything, and includes everyone in his Marty Party! Joining Marty in Toonville are Bernie and Hollie, Burnatron, Super Simon, Chef and Chicken, Hobo Jim, Suki, Griselda, Punchy McKnuckle, Carly, Lenny, Dr. Smarty Pants, and Jack.

ToonMarty (40×11’) is produced by Montreal's Sardine Productions. Originally commissioned by Corus Entertainment for its French and English Teletoon networks, the series premiered on both in Canada on Monday 1st May 2017 at 5:00pm ET/PT.

Nickelodeon acquired the broadcast rights to ToonMarty from GoldBee in February 2017, and will roll the series out on its channels and digital platforms internationally (excluding North America, China, and Japan) from Spring 2017.

Nickelodeon Russia To Premiere "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" On Thursday 1st September 2016

Nickelodeon Russia has announced the exciting news in a post on their official VK profile page that Nickelodeon Russia (Россия) will start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand-new original animated comedy series (Nicktoon) Pig Goat Banana Cricket (locally titled Свин Коза Банан Сверчок), on Thursday 1st September 2016 at 18:00 МСК!

Pig Goat Banana Cricket follows four friends nature never intended - a pickle-obsessed Pig, a Goat with musical dreams, a Banana who loves video games and a Cricket with a crazy science lab — in Boopelite City, a gigantic, fantastical metropolis unlike anything you've seen before; where fruit can walk, animals can talk, the sidewalks are crammed with animals, robots and sea creatures, and you can find all your pickle needs at the downtown Picklemart! The quad are roommates in a treehouse, which sits in the middle of the city, surrounded by the forest, seas and everywhere else the foursome could possibly go.

Ryan. Dave Cooper also art directs the series and the pilot was directed by independent animator Nick Cross.
