Kelvin bugs Hermes' office. Hermes discovers the miniature transmitter under his desk and is led to believe that the kids are being brainwashed by a spy ring.
Julie comes down with the measles and can't go to school camp on the mainland. Kelvin fakes illness to avoid going on the camp, planning to spend the week in the pinball parlours and fast food joints on the mainland, but he is caught trying to sneak away. Having both been left behind, Julie and Kelvin organise their own adventure camp, complete with a paying customer.
Kelvin is accused of stealing money from Ralph and rigging the competition to win a ghetto blaster. His trial finds him and the other kids guilty of various deceits, but the theft itself is a tale of another kind.
