Nickelodeon At Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 News Round-Up - Part Four
Welcome to the fourth part of NickALive!'s special Nickelodeon at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 News Round-Up! In celebration of Nickelodeon attending Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016, below is a selection of news and highlights from the third and fourth days of Nick at SDCC '16, plus a few extras! #NickSDCC!
Sixteen South Announces New "Lily's Driftwood Bay" Christmas Special
Sixteen South has announced the exciting news on their official Lily's Driftwood Bay Instagram profile page, @DriftwoodBay, that the award-winning Belfast-based independent children's television production company are making a brand-new double-length Lily's Driftwood Bay Christmas special! To celebrate, Sixteen South has unveiled a fantastic behind-the-scenes video clip featuring comedian Paul Currie ('Gull') in the sound booth recording the dialogue for 'Santa Claus' in the all-new Lily's Driftwood Bay Christmas episode! Although unconfirmed, it is thought that Nick Jr. UK & Ireland will premiere the episode during Winter 2016, as part of the top-performing preschool channels' Christmas highlights.:
First Look At "Bunsen is a Beast!" - New Nicktoon Premiering 2017 On Nickelodeon USA
Check out this fantastic first-look at Nickelodeon's upcoming brand-new original animated series Bunsen is a Beast!, which Nickelodeon debuted during their "Happy Happy! Joy Joy!: 25 Years of Nickelodeon Original Animation" celebratory panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 on Thursday 21st July 2016!:
Bunsen is a Beast! (20 episodes) follows two unlikely friends attending grade school. On his first day at a human-grade school, Bunsen befriends a classmate named Mikey, who over time guides Bunsen through the ups and downs of life as a human. On the flipside, Bunsen introduces Mikey to the wild and whacky world of monsters which, as it turns out, is a lot more fun than scary! No matter what the stakes, Bunsen and Mikey will always have each other's backs. The original animated comedy is created and executive produced by Butch Hartman, and is Butch's fourth Nicktoon series. Bunsen is a Beast! is set to debut on Nickelodeon USA during early 2017.
