Jennette McCurdy Reveals Why She And Miranda Cosgrove Grew Apart

"There's kind of complicated feelings around it."


As you may know, iCarly star Jennette McCurdy has released her new memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died, which details her time growing up as a child star.

As part of her press tour to promote her new book book, the actor stopped by the Chicks In The Office podcast, where she talked pretty candidly about the "evolution" of her friendship with her iCarly costar, Miranda Cosgrove.

The hosts joked about how refreshing it was that they met like most kids in the early aughts — by asking for each other's AIM usernames.

And although they were friends through the filming of their hit show, Jennette said things have actually changed.

"So this thing happens in your 20s. You know what I'm gonna say. Your friendships when you're 20 years old — you're like, 'These are the friends that will be on my deathbed. We'll be playing bingo, clenching each other's hands, and watching Jeopardy!'"

"That shifts," she continued. "Sometimes you can't even really make sense of it. You're just like, 'Oh wow, I haven't talked to that person in months.'"

"There's kind of complicated feelings around it."

"I mean, I love her to pieces, but we're just not as close as we used to be," Jennette continued, adding "It's totally a naturally aging [thing]".

Last week, Miranda did break her silence surrounding the allegations Jennette made regarding her experience on iCarly. Jennette said an executive known as "The Creator" gave her an unsolicited shoulder massage and encouraged her to drink alcohol when she was underage, among other things.

"When you’re young, you’re so in your own head," Miranda told the New York Times. “You can’t imagine that people around you are having much harder struggles. You don’t expect things like that from the person in the room who’s making everyone laugh."

So while it seems like there's nothing but civility and support, we can kind of conclude they're just not on the Carly-Sam level we'd expect.

Santiago of the Seas Sails Onto Netflix In The U.S.

Netflix added Nickelodeon’s hit CG-animated preschool series Santiago of the Seas, on August 19, with the first half (10 episodes) of the show's freshman season now available to stream on the service!


Infused with a Spanish-language and Latino-Caribbean culture curriculum, the action-adventure series follows 8-year-old Santiago “Santi” Montes, a brave and kind-hearted pirate, as he embarks on daring rescues, searches for treasures and keeps the high seas safe in a fantastical Caribbean world.

In the series, Santiago’s steadfast and loyal crew consists of: Tomás, his clumsy energetic cousin whose magical guitar can be used to harness the wind; and Lorelai, a knowledgeable mermaid who can speak to sea creatures and transform into a young human girl. Together, Santi and his best mates sail the seas on the majestic ship El Bravo, using their smarts, pirate skills and moral compasses to guard their home of Isla Encanto from villains like the nefarious pirate Bonnie Bones and her Palm Crow sidekick Sir Butterscotch.

Santiago of the Seas is created by Niki López, Leslie Valdes and Valerie Walsh Valdes. Valdes and Walsh Valdes (Dora the Explorer) serve as executive producers with López co-executive producing. Santiago of the Seas is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, Calif., with production overseen by Eryk Casemiro, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Animation, Global Series Content.

Santiago of the Seas made its world premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Friday, October 9, 2020, garnering record ratings for Nickelodeon, and is currently in its second season, now airing on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels globally.

The series is also available to stream on Paramount+.

PAW Patrol Visits Centro Educativo Terapéutico Welcome in Argentina to Celebrate Children's Day

Nick News Brief: The PAW Patrol celebrated Children's Day in Argentina by visiting kids at Centro Educativo Terapéutico Welcome on Friday, August 19! "Welcome" is a Therapeutic Educational Center in the town of Cañuelas, attended by children with developmental disorders or disabilities.



Festejo de la niñez en Welcome

El Centro Educativo Terapéutico celebró este día especial junto a los personajes de Paw Patrol de Nickelodeon.

Durante el viernes, el Centro Educativo Terapéutico Welcome, celebró el día de la niñez en la sede de Salta 1225

El evento fue organizado y pensado por el equipo terapéutico junto a la dirección de la institución, como una propuesta inclusiva donde en esta oportunidad contaremos con la presencia de los chicos de la “Casa del niño”.


Desde el mediodía hasta alrededor de las 16 horas se realizaron distintas actividades lúdicas, las cuales fueron pensadas para disfrutar de una tarde de propuestas novedosas.

Los visitaron los personajes de Paw Patrol de Nickelodeon para retratar este encuentro y jugar, además hubo juegos inflables, sectores de juegos con distintas propuestas artísticas y de desplazamiento.

Las familias de los niños de Welcome fueron parte del evento junto a sus hijos, participando de las propuestas de juego y entretenimiento de forma libre.

 “Welcome” es un Centro Educativo Terapéutico de la localidad de Cañuelas, donde asisten concurrentes que presentan alguna alteración del desarrollo o discapacidad.

Brinda un servicio terapéutico educativo ya que implementa acciones de atención tendientes a promover la adquisición de conductas y adecuados niveles de autonomía e independencia, con la incorporación de nuevos modelos de interacción, mediante el desarrollo coordinado de metodologías y técnicas del ámbito terapéutico pedagógico y recreativo.

El tipo de prestación que se brinda es la atención individual y grupal de acuerdo con criterios de edad, diagnostico funcional, condiciones psicofísicas y actividades a realizar.

“En Welcome trabajamos para que los concurrentes que asisten a la Institución puedan tener la oportunidad de festejar y disfrutar la niñez diariamente. Por ello este evento refleja una parte del compromiso que tenemos con la evolución en el desarrollo integral de las infancias”, aseguraron las autoridades del Centro Educativo.

Lima.- Por primera vez en Perú, llega a Mallplaza “Nickelodeon Slime Experience”, una intervención que invita a vivir una experiencia entretenida en torno al icónico Slime de Nickelodeon.

Esta inédita atracción, que cuenta con el respaldo de Nickelodeon, recreará una fábrica de slime, donde a través de cuatro estaciones, los niños y niñas podrán interactuar con esta sustancia en distintas actividades, como pasillos con obstáculos y una piscina de Slime.

Esta actividad está pensada para que los niños y niñas puedan aprovechar las últimas semanas de las vacaciones de invierno y también es un excelente panorama para la celebración del Día del Niño.
