Start preparing your mind, body, and soul for #LegendOfKorra Book 4It is currently unknown when Nickelodeon USA will premiere "Legend of Korra - Book 4: Balance", however, Nickelodeon and Bryan Konietzko, a co-creator and executive producer of Nickelodeon's hit original animated series (Nicktoons) "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra", have hinted that Nick USA may be planning to debut "Book 4: Balance" very soon! While announcing the TLoK news on Korra Nation, the networks official "The Legend of Korra" Tumblr blog, Nickelodeon has urged fans to "Get ready!". Additionally, whilst reblogging the news on his official Tumblr blog, Bryan Konietzko added the one word guaranteed to electrify the fandom - "SOON".
It is speculated that Nickelodeon USA will start to air Book 4 around January and February 2015, as Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand recently announced that's when the Aussie and Kiwi version of the world's number one kids' channel are planning to start to premiere and show "The Legend of Korra - Book 4: Balance", plus, Bryan Konietzko suggested during Nickelodeon's "Korra" panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2014 that the show will have a presence at the New York Comic-Con.
Konietzko and his fellow co-creator Mike DiMartino have previously said that the writing for "Book 4" is complete, and that the final season of "The Legend of Korra" is now in the animation phase.
The choice of the title "Balance" for "The Legend of Korra" season 4 is one that many fans have suggested, and it seems like a fitting conclusion to Korra's story. "Balance" – physical, spiritual, and on a global level – has been a powerful theme going back to the original "Avatar: The Last Airbender" series, but Korra's recent struggles in "Book 3" have perhaps encapsulated this idea most vividly. Where Aang's story was one of restoration, Korra's is one of maintenance and healing – an occasionally literal balancing act that has taken a serious toll on our heroine. Hopefully Korra's struggle for balance will heal her own wounds as her work has helped to heal the world.
In additional "The Legend of Korra" news, TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Media Distribution have announced that they will release "The Legend of Korra - Book 3: Changes" on on DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc on Tuesday 2nd December 2014!
"It's the return of the Airbenders! Korra discovers that new Airbenders are popping up all over the Earth Kingdom. While she tries to find these Airbenders and rebuild the Air Nation, a group of dangerous criminals embark on a mission of their own."
Each 2-disc set, now available to pre-order on Amazon.com USA, comes with all 13 episodes, plus extras that include Audio Commentaries by Creators and Crew (for four episodes on the DVD set and on all 13 episodes on Blu-ray), as well as Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes with Animatics (again, 4 on DVD and 13 on Blu-ray). The BD versions come in 1080i high-def resolution with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, whereas the DVD versions come in widescreen video and English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Both formats also include Spanish audio tracks as well. Pricing is $19.99 SRP for the DVD version, and $35.98 SRP for the Blu-ray.
