Pete Wentz To Guest Star In A Episode Of Nickelodeon's Brand-New Show "School of Rock"

Nickelodeon has announced the exciting news in a post on their official Tumblr blog that musician Pete Wentz from rock band Fall Out Boy will be a guest star in a episode of Nickelodeon Productions and Paramount Television's upcoming brand-new live-action, musical-comedy series "School of Rock"!

Pete, who filmed his role a few weeks ago, will be playing Colton, a former bandmate of Dewey's who is now Dewey's biggest rival in the upcoming Battle of the Bands.

To celebrate, Nickelodeon shared a exclusive photo featuring Pete taking a behind-the-scenes selfie with "School of Rock" star Tony Cavalero, who plays Dewey in Nick's brand-new show, in between filming! The photo also features a glimpse of Tony's star trailer and a first-look at the "School of Rock" logo which Nickelodeon and Paramount may use for their all-new show!:

"School of Rock" is a brand-new live-action series which follows a group of unconventional prep schoolers who are taught the joy of rock 'n' roll by Dewey Finn (Tony Cavalero, "Splitting Adam"), a down-on-his-luck rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at their school. The show is based on the 2003 hit movie of the same name from Paramount Pictures. Nickelodeon USA is planning to debut the show between July and September 2015!

"School of Rock" is written by Jim and Steve Armogida ("Crash & Bernstein", "My Family"), who will also serve as executive producers and show runners. The movie's director Richard Linklater and producer Scott Rudin will executive produce the television series.

Nickelodeon ordered 13 episodes of "School of Rock" in August 2014.

Paramount's original "School of Rock" movie starred Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove ("Drake & Josh", "iCarly") in one of her first acting roles, in which she portrayed the character Summer Hathaway.

Kel Mitchell Working On New Nickelodeon Project

Fill your fridge with orange soda, order a supply of Good Burgers and get your mobile tuba-phone ready - Nickelodeon Star Kel Mitchell ("Kenan & Kel", "All That") has announced the very exciting news in a special AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit that he's coming back to Nickelodeon in the near future with a brand new project!:
any projects you are working on? can we expect to see you on tv or in a movie?
Yes! Yes, yes, you can!

I got a lot of stuff going on. I will be - this is on the low, I can't say too much - but I will be returning to Nickelodeon!
That's all I can say. Yeah, that's all I can say.

And FRIENDS OF THE PEOPLE - I've been guest-starring on this sketch show on TruTV, it's a really really funny show.
During his Reddit AMA, Kel also talked about how the famous "I dropped the screw in the tuna" scene in the very first episode of "Kenan & Kel", "The Tainting of the Screw," was almost completely improvised, how he's still good friends with his Kenan Thompson, a sequel to his hit Nickelodeon Movie "Good Burger", "Good Burger 2", and the inspiration of his famous "All That" character Ed the Good Burger Guy!:
So here's a fun fact:

Okay, so, the first time Ed was ever seen on Nickelodeon was in the pilot episode, and there was a sketch called "Dream Remote." Yup! And it's kinda like the movie CLICK with Adam Sandler, where he could forward time, stop it, do all kinds of stuff with this remote. So he ordered a pizza and he wanted to it to get there really fast, and the guy that delivered the pizza was Ed, but he had no braids or anything like that. And I just - they didn't have a voice for him, it was just "pizza guy", so I was like "Heeellyooo, here's yer pizza!" in the Ed Voice, and the writers loved it so much, that the next thing I knew GOOD BURGER was born, and I felt like he needed HAIR.

SO I went to the wardrobe room, and the hair room, and I saw these, like, Brandy, Milli-Vanilli braids? AHAHAHA! And I threw that on!
And Ed was born, hahaha!

And the rest is history.
Kel recently guest starred as a rapper called Peezy B in a episode of the hit Nickelodeon sitcom "Sam & Cat". The episode reunited Kel with "Sam & Cat" creator/executive producer Dan Schneider, who was a producer on the classic Nickelodeon sketch show "All That", in which Kel Mitchell played different characters, such as Ed the Good Burger Guy, Coach Kreeton, Repairman, Officer Colby (Cheese Police), Okrah, Clavis (Mavis and Clavis), Dr. K, Pasta Man, the hit 90's Nick sitcom "Kenan & Kel", in which Kel Mitchell played the orange soda loving Kel Kimble, and a writer and star of the popular Nickelodeon Movie "Good Burger", based on the popular "All That" sketch of the same name, in which he and Kel played Mr. Baily and Ed, respectively. Nickelodeon UK aired a selection of "All That" sketches in as "Comedy Zone" shorts as part of their Nickelozone programming block and as part of "Nick.Comedy".
