First Look at Nickelodeon's "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library"
EW has unveiled a fantastic first look at Nickelodeon's TV movie adaptation of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library, the beloved 2013 childrens book from Chris Grabenstein. The movie follows five children selected to be the first to test drive "world-renowned gamemaker" Luigi Lemoncello's newest high-tech — and magical — library for one night. Their challenge: They must solve riddles and find clues leading them out of the literary labyrinth by morning. The fun takes a dark and dangerous turn when literary characters begin to spring from the books, and the magic of the library starts to spin out of control. Think Willy Wonka meets Night at the Museum!
The 90-minute, live-action TV movie stars Breanna Yde (Nickelodeon’s School of Rock), Casey Simpson (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn), Russell Roberts (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) and newcomers AJ Rivera and Klarke Pipkin, will premiere on Nickelodeon USA this fall. Logic's Video for '1-800-273-8255', Starring Coy Stewart, Features Young Gay Man's Powerful Story
Rapper Logic has released a moving video for his song “1-800-273-8255,” which features a young gay man coming to terms with his sexuality while faced with bullying and initial pushback from his family. Nickelodeon star Coy Stewart, who played 'Troy Dixon' in the networks popular Football-themed comedy series Bella and the Bulldogs, plays the young man who meets and falls for another boy played by Modern Family’s Nolan Gould while Oscar nominee Don Cheadle and Matthew Modine play the boys’ dads. Luis Guzmán plays the boy's supportive coach.
The video follows a structure similar to that of the Oscar-winning film Moonlight, which focused on three stages of its protagonist’s life. The video for Logic’s song, which is the actual National Suicide Prevention Hotline number, depicts Cheadle as the dad holding his infant son before centering mostly on the child’s teen years that include falling for a boy, facing rejection from his family, being bullied, and contemplating suicide. Finally, it closes on a flash-forward to when the boy is fully grown, happy married man, and has been accepted by his family and by himself.
In addition, the video sees features from Alessia Cara and Khalid, both of whom sing verses in this extended version. Luis Guzmán and Matthew Modine are also in the star-studded cast.
While Logic has not commented on this powerful video, one of his reps said, “It speaks for itself,” according to Variety.
The song includes the number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline, but it’s also important to note that The Trevor Project is a wonderful LGBTQ resource for those struggling with mental illness, depression and suicidal ideations.

In Nickelodeon's hit multi-camera, scripted half-hour series Instant Mom, locally titled L'Apprentie Maman, Martini Mondays and tequila Tuesdays take a back seat to new step-motherhood when former party girl Stephanie (Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Sister Sister) marries Charlie (Michael Boatman, Spin City), an older dad with three kids. Becoming an instant mom doesn't come with a rulebook, but it does come with a dose of humor as Stephanie traverses the fine line between being a friend and being a responsible parent. Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha) stars as Stephanie's mother Maggie, and rounding out the cast are Charlie's three kids played by Sydney Park (The HALO Effect, CSI: NY), Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun. Additionally, Jackée Harry, who played Tia's Mom in Sister, Sister, guest stars in the series Mother's Day special, "Not Your Mother's Day".
