The New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NY) has announcedTiffany Chao, Corporate Communications and Programming Publicity Manager, Nickelodeon as one this year's recipients of the 2022 Big Apple Award 15 Under 35! One of one of Big Apple’s most prestigious awards, the 15 Under 35 award recognizes fifteen emerging talents under the age of thirty-five for their extraordinary works, efforts, innovation, leadership, and inspiration across the PR industry.

At Nickelodeon, Chao works across corporate communications and programming publicity for live-action, animation and preschool content. Chao has co-led many publicity campaigns including Blue’s Clues 25th Anniversary; the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon, the first-ever NFL telecast produced for kids and family in partnership with CBS Sports; and the annual Kids’ Choice Awards, writing press materials, managing credentialing, ticketing, tip sheet edits, press check-in and more. She has led off-channel events including pop-up interactive experience, Slime City; kids’ music festival, SlimeFest; and Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports. She has covered and secured press opportunities for many live-action series launches, and helped with the launches of Nickelodeon’s unscripted shows, The Crystal Maze and America’s Most Musical Family.
Chao has freelanced several award shows in the script department including the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2018, 2017 Black Girls Rock Awards on BET, 2017 GRAMMY Salute to Music Legends and 2017 NBA Awards. Additionally, she freelanced sports games for YES Network for the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets. Chao was also a freelance concert photographer, production assistant intern at NBCUniversal’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and a publicity educational temp at Republic Records. Prior to her current job, Chao worked in talent publicity for high-profile clients at ID-PR.
A 2017 recipient of a New York State Senate Citation for Community Service and the 2016 recipient of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Foundation's Multicultural and Diversity Scholarship, Chao is also a member of the Television Academy and the New York Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing Communications and a minor in sociology in 2017 at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

The winners were revealed at a celebration filled with epic slimings and sheer sports ‘fan’-demonium taped live Thursday, July 11, from Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif.
Highlights from Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2019 include:
· Three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade being honored with the Legend Award in recognition of his achievements and outstanding sportsmanship on and off the court;

Biggest stars in sports go head-to-head in sticky competition airing Aug. 10
What do you get when you combine a three-time Super Bowl champion, an Olympic gold medal skier, the biggest names in sports and gallons of green slime?
A sticky mess — and the finale competition at the Nickelodeon “Kids’ Choice Sports 2019.”
The annual sports extravaganza — that took place last month at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica — will air Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m. ET, and TheWrap has an exclusive video of the messiest highlights, which you can check out above.
Hosted by former Super Bowl champion and two-time Emmy Award winner Michael Strahan, this year’s show featured two teams of sports stars competing in challenges that tested their athletic skills in the stickiest of surroundings.
Captained by former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn, the all-star rosters included Shaun White, Nyjah Huston and Vonn’s NFL player boyfriend, P.K. Subban.
The first-ever “Kids’ Choice Sports Championship” was a mega-competition made up of five grand-scale, sports-themed challenges that spanned the entire show and culminated in a nail-biting final showdown. One team pulled off the biggest comeback since Super Bowl LI — but you’ll have to watch the show to see who came out victorious.
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, Alex Morgan of the World Cup-winning U.S. women’s national soccer team, snowboarder Chloe Kim and golfer Tiger Woods were among the winners of the 2019 awards.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was the only other nominee to win more than once, taking home two prizes: Best Cannon and Favorite Football Player. TB12 celebrate his feat during the show by throwing a perfect pass from a video message to Gronk… who then proceeded to spike it, of course.
Meanwhile, 13-time NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade received the Legend Award and was subsequently doused in a river of gold slime while accepting the prize, but not before giving his watch to wife Gabrielle Union for safe keeping.
Fresh off their World Cup victory, USWNT star Megan Rapinoe won the Generation Change Award.

The slime-filled celebration also featured two star-studded teams going head to head in the first-ever Kids' Choice Sports Championship--a mega-competition made up of five grand-scale, sports-themed challenges that spanned the entire show. Team Slime Slammers was captained by Lindsey Vonn with Alysa Liu, Kel Mitchell, Shaun White, Trae Young and Nyjah Huston. Team Orange Crunch was led by Rob Gronkowski with David Dobrik, Laurie Hernandez, Olivia Moultrie, Ben Simmons and P.K. Subban.
The Kids' Choice Sports Championship challenges were:
All-Star Gauntlet: Working to build a 6-foot-tall foam finger puzzle, the teams were tasked with throwing pies through basketball nets, crawling through a batting cage, catching giant fish in a sea of slippery critters, knocking down puzzle pieces held by giant Michael Strahan targets and climbing a 30-foot wall.
Summer Smash N’ Splash: One lucky kid from the audience joined each team for this wet and slimy challenge. Each team swam in a pool of balls to find the volleyballs needed to hit targets that triggered a slime shower which doused their respective kid.
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader Bungee Dance Challenge: Each team captains’ dance knowledge was put to the test by game show host John Cena. Tethered together via a bungee rope, the captains had to reach the buzzer and perform their best dance moves with each question answered correctly with the help of brainy fifth graders, Jamir and Saya.
Pillow Fight Fight Night: David Dobrik and Kel Mitchell faced off in the ring for a pillow fight like no other. The challengers’ pillow-fighting abilities were judged for style, accuracy and power.
Super Slime Showdown: In the final challenge, team captains used stationary bikes to pump out slime that their teammates had to catch in order to fill slime tanks at the finish line. The first team that filled their tank and slimed themselves won the championship.
KCS2019.com serves as the official destination for Kids’ Choice Sports 2019 and will pair with the show to feature all-star live votes, polls, sports-themed short-form videos, trivia, backstage reactions, and more. As the show’s competitors face off during the telecast, users will be able to pick which team to support and join the fun in the interactive experience all night. Users will also be able to access all day of show content on the Screens Up app, which will feature AR-sticker collection throughout the show.

Kids’ Choice Sports 2019 will be taped on Thursday, July 11, from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., and premiere Saturday, Aug. 10, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S. This years KCS awards will see Michael Strahan return as host for the second time. Stephen Curry, James Harden and Serena Williams lead this year's nominees with four noms each, with Saquon Barkley, Tom Brady, Nikki Bella, LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, Alex Morgan and Free Solo subject Alex Honnold among other contenders. KCS 2019 will also honor Basketball superstar and three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade with the coveted Legend Award in recognition of his achievements and outstanding sportsmanship on and off the court.
Ciara's husband Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback who hosted the event three consecutive years from 2015-17, will also be participating in this year's show. Ciara has been in the audience all three times to see her husband get doused with his share of the green stuff, and she tells Billboard she's excited to break out from the sidelines.

Basketball superstar and three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade has been chosen by Nickelodeon to receive the coveted Legend Award at this year’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2019 in recognition of his achievements and outstanding sportsmanship on and off the court!
Wade spent the majority of his 16-year career playing for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association. After a successful college basketball career with the Marquette Golden Eagles, Wade was drafted fifth overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Heat. In his third season, Wade led the Heat to their first NBA Championship in franchise history and was named the 2006 NBA Finals MVP. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Wade led the United States men's basketball team, commonly known as the "Redeem Team", in scoring, and helped them capture the gold medal. In the 2008–09 season, Wade led the league in scoring and earned his first NBA scoring title. With LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Wade helped guide Miami to four consecutive NBA Finals from 2011 to 2014, winning back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. After playing for the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade was traded back to Miami in February 2018. A 13-time NBA All-Star, Wade is Miami's all-time leader in points, games, assists and steals, shots made and shots taken. Wade retired at the end of this past season, his 16th in the NBA.
The Legend Award honors athletes who are the ultimate role models to kids across the globe, inspiring generations year after year. Wade, who is the sixth athlete to receive this honor, joins a prestigious list of past recipients including most decorated Olympian of all time Michael Phelps, five-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant, soccer legend David Beckham, five-time World Series champion Derek Jeter, and professional racecar driver Danica Patrick. Each recipient of the Legend Award receives the ultimate honor, being doused from head to toe in glistening gold slime.
