Nickelodeon Programming Publicity Manager Tiffany Chao Wins 2022 Big Apple Award 15 Under 35 Gong

The New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NY) has announced Tiffany Chao, Corporate Communications and Programming Publicity Manager, Nickelodeon as one this year's recipients of the 2022 Big Apple Award 15 Under 35! One of one of Big Apple’s most prestigious awards, the 15 Under 35 award recognizes fifteen emerging talents under the age of thirty-five for their extraordinary works, efforts, innovation, leadership, and inspiration across the PR industry.

At Nickelodeon, Chao works across corporate communications and programming publicity for live-action, animation and preschool content. Chao has co-led many publicity campaigns including Blue’s Clues 25th Anniversary; the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon, the first-ever NFL telecast produced for kids and family in partnership with CBS Sports; and the annual Kids’ Choice Awards, writing press materials, managing credentialing, ticketing, tip sheet edits, press check-in and more. She has led off-channel events including pop-up interactive experience, Slime City; kids’ music festival, SlimeFest; and Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports. She has covered and secured press opportunities for many live-action series launches, and helped with the launches of Nickelodeon’s unscripted shows, The Crystal Maze and America’s Most Musical Family.
Chao has freelanced several award shows in the script department including the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2018, 2017 Black Girls Rock Awards on BET, 2017 GRAMMY Salute to Music Legends and 2017 NBA Awards. Additionally, she freelanced sports games for YES Network for the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets. Chao was also a freelance concert photographer, production assistant intern at NBCUniversal’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and a publicity educational temp at Republic Records. Prior to her current job, Chao worked in talent publicity for high-profile clients at ID-PR.

A 2017 recipient of a New York State Senate Citation for Community Service and the 2016 recipient of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Foundation's Multicultural and Diversity Scholarship, Chao is also a member of the Television Academy and the New York Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing Communications and a minor in sociology in 2017 at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

When Chao is not working, she enjoys traveling locally and globally, hanging out with her family and friends, exploring the city, and expressing her creativity in different ways.​​
