Nickelodeon Developing New Project Titled 'Mr. Cool'
IMDbPro is reporting the exciting news that Nickelodeon is currently producing a brand-new project titled Mr. Cool! Not much is currently known about Mr. Cool, such as whether it will be a TV series, TV movie/special or a short-form series or one-off short, however, IMDbPro lists that Lon Diamond (Supah Ninjas, Summerland, The Tick, Parker Lewis Can't Lose) will be a writer on the new project.

Spice Girls 'In Talks' With Nickelodeon To Launch TV Talent Show To Search For "The New Spice Girls"
British girlband the Spice Girls delighted fans around the world by posting their reunion picture last week. Now they are hoping to take things up a notch by launching a TV talent show with Nickelodeon that will scour the globe for “the new Spice Girls”!

The Sun has revealed that their comeback plans are centred on a new television format which will see Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), and Victoria Beckham, née Adams ("Posh Spice") put together a girlband formed of different nationalities.
The idea is being driven by Simon Fuller — the man who led the girls’ rise to superstardom in the Nineties as their original manager, and who wants to take the new show to Japan, China, Australia and the US, as well as the UK.

He is keen for the girls to capitalise on the Asian markets.
Those involved in the project also hope the new band will be able to promote a message of unity amid unrest in the world.
The Sun's source told Dan Wootton: “Simon has been formulating this girlband idea for over two years. He wants to create an international band.
"For example, one member will be selected from China, another from India and then someone will be from the UK.
“The plan is to bring people together and add some diversity to the charts.
“Simon has formulated the idea of a TV talent show — based loosely on Take That’s Let It Shine which featured Gary Barlow as a judge — which will have a panel that includes one or more of the girls.

There will then be contributions from the other members depending on where it is being filmed.
“Geri has said she wouldn’t be able to commit to judging for six weeks in China but could appear in London or America.”
The source continued: “Meetings have taken place with Nickelodeon about the show.
“Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Emma have had experience of being on TV talent panels but this would be a first for Victoria.”
Another idea the girls discussed is their own clothing line.
The source added: “It’s likely that any range will be sold in a high street store like H&M.
“The idea is for it to be very cool and a nod to their past looks rather than copies of the girls’ famous outfits.
“If it does go ahead, naturally Victoria will be in full control.”
The Spice Girls are no stranger to Nickelodeon, having appeared on SNICK and All That in the '90s.
The Spice Girls' new TV show is currently in its early stages, so there is currently no guarantee that if it does get made, it'll air on Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon Developing New Show From TV Writers Alex Fox And Rachel Lewis
Ticket Sarasota is reporting the exciting news that TV writers Alexandra Fox and her writing partner Rachel Lewis recently wrote and shot a pilot which Nickelodeon is currently developing into a brand-new television series!
In a interview, Alexandra told Ticket Sarasota that her potential all-new Nickelodeon series was "basically about best friendship, being little and going on adventures".
Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis are comedians, writers, producers and actors who live in Los Angeles. In addition to their potential brand-new Nickelodeon show, they are on the staff writing team of the popular PBS Kids series "Odd Squad", who have been nominated for the "Outstanding Writing in a Children's or Pre-School Children’s Series" award at the 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards for their work on the show.

Animator Matt Danner Developing Series Pilot For Nickelodeon
The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that animator Matt Danner currently has a series pilot in development for a potential brand-new Nickelodeon show!
An animation prodigy who scored his first job working for John Kricfalusi, the creator of Nickelodeon's classic original animated series "The Ren & Stimpy Show", while in high school, Matt Danner is a Los Angeles-based animation director known for his work on "The Looney Tunes Show", "The Drinky Crow Show", "George Liquor Program", "Xiaolin Showdown", and the stop-motion animated "WWE Slam City", a original animated short-form series which currently airs Nickelodeon USA's "NickSports" programming block on Nicktoons USA. He's currently directing an animated "Hot Wheels" feature trilogy for Mattel and a CG/live-action movie adaptation of his Fantagraphics storybook "Sock Monkey: Into The Deep Woods", which he co-authored with comics scribe Tony Millionaire. Nickelodeon Developing Brand-New Kids "Crime Procedural" Comedy Series From Garry Marshall And Aaron Kaplan
The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news in the following article that legendary television creator/actor/producer Garry Marshall, who ruled the sitcom world in the 1970's with hit comedies "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", "Mork & Mindy" and "The Odd Couple", has teamed with prolific producer Aaron Kaplan for a currently untitled brand-new multi-camera comedy project for Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families!
The all-new multiple camera comedy series, based on an idea by Kaplan, will star a all-kid cast (aged between 10-to-12 years old) who will be playing grown-up characters in the vein of Alan Parker's gangster musical movie "Bugsy Malone", which starred a young Scott Baio and Jodie Foster.
Framed as a crime procedural, the sitcom centers on a male cop, his District Attorney (DA) brother and the female judge they both have a crush on. Also a corrupt mayor and the woman who runs the local "malt shoppe" who is "connected".
Marshall will co-write the script with his son, director Scott Marshall ("Keeping Up With The Steins"), and is set to direct. Garry Marshall, Scott Marshall and Kaplan will executive produce.
Kaplan and the Marshalls all have a recent history with Nickelodeon. The Kaplan-produced breakout Nick at Nite/NickMom comedy series "Instant Mom" recently had its freshman season expanded to 26 episode and was renewed for a 20-episode second season. Kaplan also produced Nick's comedy series "Wendell & Vinnie". Meanwhile, Garry Marshall recently guest starred on the hit Nick at Nite comedy series "See Dad Run", in which he was reunited with "Happy Days" star Scott Baio, in an episode that was directed by Scott Marshall. The father-son duo previously teamed to write a multi-camera project for Fox last season. Following a successful TV run, Garry Marshall segued to feature directing, helming such films as "Pretty Woman", "The Princess Diaries", "Beaches" and "Runaway Bride". Garry Marshall is repped by CAA; Scott Marshall is with Preferred Artists.

The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nick News that Nickelodeon has signed a deal with comedy writer-producer Andy Gordon, the creator and executive producer of Nick's popular fashion-themed sitcom "True Jackson, VP", to develop a potential brand new original comedy series called "Twang" (working title)!
"Twang" will be a 30-minute country-themed multi-camera comedy about the four semi-spoiled children of a country music star who are relocated from their privileged life in Los Angeles, California, USA, to their mother's childhood home in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee.
Gordon serves as co-executive producer on TV Land's upcoming Kirstie Alley sitcom "Kirstie". Nickelodeon Promotes Jim Kukucka To Vice President, West Coast Series Production At Nickelodeon Group
The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the Nickelodeon News in the following article that Nickelodeon has promoted executive Jim Kukucka to the role of Vice President (VP), West Coast Series Production at Nickelodeon Group, where he will oversee production of original series, pilots and presentation projects. As part of his promotion, Kukucka will also monitor the development pool spending and commitments along with liaising with the creative client groups, the channel executive and finance department to keep the brands long range plan updated with new projects. He is currently overseeing the brand-new Nickelodeon comedy series "Marvin Marvin", season four of Nick's musical comedy show "Big Time Rush", and the Nick at Nite pilot "Instant Mom", which is set to co-star Classic Nickelodeon UK Star Tia Mowry (who portrayed 'Tia Landry' in the Classic Nick UK comedy series "Sister, Sister") as a 25-year-old party girl who trades in cosmos for carpools when she marries successful doctor Charlie (portrayed by actor Michael Boatman, who played the character 'Carter Heywood' in hit US sitcom "Spin City"), an older man with kids.

Jim Kukucka assumes VP role at Nickelodeon
Jim Kukucka has been upped to VP, West Coast Series Production at Nickelodeon Group, where he will oversee production of original series, pilots and presentation projects.
Kukucka will also monitor the development pool spending and commitments along with liaising with the creative client groups, the channel executive and finance department to keep the long range plan updated with new projects. He is currently overseeing the brand-new Nickelodeon series Marvin Marvin, season four of Big Time Rush (pictured), and the Nick at Nite pilot Instant Mom.
Kukucka most recently served as director of production for Nickelodeon’s Live Action division. During his tenure at the company he has helped execute live-action series including Big Time Rush and Figure It Out. Prior to Nick, he produced and co-produced various shows including The King of Queens.
