Nickelodeon's Hit Live-Action Roster Drives Nick USA's Weekly Ratings Win With Kids And Total Viewers

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced the exciting Nickelodeon Ratings News in the following press release, from TVByTheNumbers.com, that Nick USA has marked five straight weeks at the top of basic cable in total day, winning the week (Monday 10th to Sunday 16th November 2014) with Kids 2-11 (2.3/704K) and total viewers (1.4M)! Nickelodeon's performance was fueled by its live-action lineup, which were TV's top three series with kids 6-11 and kids 2-11 this week.


For the third straight week, Nickelodeon nabbed the top spots with kids 6-11, with "The Thundermans" landing at number-one (6.4/1.2M, up +42% over year ago), followed by "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn" (6.1/1.1M, up +53%) and "Henry Danger" (5.8/1.1M, +5%). Among kids 2-11, the top three shows were "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn" (5.1/1.6M, up +13%), "The Thundermans" (5.1/1.6M, +2%) and "Henry Danger" (4.6/1.4M, +7%). Additionally, "Paw Patrol" is the week's number-one preschool series, averaging a 6.2/736K with kids 2-5.

Nickelodeon USA's niche networks, TeenNick and Nicktoons, posted double-digit year-over-year (YOY) increases with their core demos. TeenNick averaged a 0.4/69K with Teens 12-17, up +33% from last year, while Nicktoons notched increases with Kids 6-11 (0.6/84K, +50%), Boys 6-11 (0.9/58K, +80%) and P2+ (248K, +59%).

Following the rating successes of "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn" and "Henry Danger", two of Nickelodeon's emerging hits, Nickelodeon today, Tuesday 18th November 2014, commissioned sophomore seasons for both series, and has greenlit two live action pilots for two potential brand-new shows, "The Dunes Club" (Working Title) from Heather Flanders ("Undateable", "Lab Rats") and "Future Shock" (Working Title), created by Mitchel Katlin and Nat Bernstein ("See Dad Run"). Both pilots are due to go into production in January 2015.
