Comcast has announced in a press release that, as part of its ongoing commitment to California, it has made a significant investment in the Santa Cruz area with the launch 30 new television networks, including Nickelodeon 2, which can now be found on channel #216!

The new programming launched on Tuesday 11th August 2015 are is available to residential homes and businesses which are Comcast customers in the following areas: Aptos, Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, Bonny Doon, Brookdale, Davenport, Felton, La Selva Beach, Lompico, southern Los Gatos, Mount Herman, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Seascape, and Soquel.

Nick 2 is a secondary channel of Nickelodeon that is available to consumers in addition to the main Nickelodeon feed in their respective time zones. Nick 2 is a repackaged version of Nickelodeon's Eastern and Pacific Time Zone feeds – the Pacific feed is distributed to the Eastern and Central Time Zones, and the Eastern feed is distributed to the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones – resulting in the difference in local airtimes for a particular program between two geographic locations being three hours at most, allowing viewers a second chance to watch a program after its initial airing on the Eastern Time Zone feed or to watch the show ahead of its airing on the Pacific Time Zone feed of the main channel.
