Nick India Announces Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards 2016 India

It's time to pack the red carpet away and roll out the orange carpet instead, as Nickelodeon India has announced the very exciting Nickelodeon International news that the world's biggest and most entertaining kid's award show – the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards - are returning to India!


With an approach that puts kids first and celebrates them each and every day, Nickelodeon takes pride in encouraging kids to be themselves - funny, messy and free-spirited. Keeping this in mind, Nickelodeon is bringing the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, the ultimate fan celebration of the best of everything kids love in pop culture. and the only live awards show where kids rule, to India for the second time!

NickHeads in India will be able to cast their votes across 13 categories for who they want to win a coveted orange blimp by logging onto Nick India's official Kid's Choice Awards 2016 India website at nickindia.com/kcaindia between Friday 28th October and Monday 28th November 2016. Each category reflects the entertainment that audiences love to watch and play. Nickelodeon India will also award a special Sports Icon Of the Year award to a Indian sporting hero. Everyone who votes for their favourites will unlock a special Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards badge and will also be entered into Viacom 18's exclusive competition. Hosted by country music superstar and coach on NBC's The Voice USA, Blake Shelton, the international version of Nickelodeon's 29th Annual Kids' Choice Awards was watched in more than 180 countries and territories around the globe. Within hours of airing live on Saturday 12th March 2016 from 8:00pm ET/PT from the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, California to viewers in the United States, Canada and Australia, the show rolled out internationally giving kids around the world the opportunity to tune into their local Nickelodeon channel to enjoy the show.

In many international markets, the 2016 KCAs featured country-specific award categories and nominees such as UK's Favorite Tipster, Favorite Pinoy Personality and Estrella Latina Favorita (Favorite Latin Artist). Voting spanned six continents across local Nickelodeon websites and Twitter hashtag voting (#KCA), giving kids practically everywhere the chance to decide who takes home a coveted blimp. For Nickelodeon's international 2016 Kids' Choice Awards, kids cast a amazing half a billion votes for their favourites from the worlds of film, music and television, with the ceremony being watched by 10 million total viewers across Nick USA, Nicktoons, TeenNick, TV Land and CMT in the USA.

Launched locally in 2013, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2016 India is Nickelodeon India's second fully localised KCA awards ceremony.
