Double Dare's Marc Summers Gets Set for the 30th Anniversary Special With Tons of Slime

On your mark, get set, nostalgia go!

Nickelodeon's hit game show Double Dare is turning the big 3-0, but it's 30, slimy and thriving with a brand-new anniversary special on Nick at Nite USA!

In the exclusive opening sequence preview below, beloved host Marc Summers gets back into the swing of things.

Does he remember exactly how to hit, "On your mark, get set, go!"?

"Summers, come on man, you got this," he says before a big suit and slime reveal. It's like no time has past at all. Be sure to keep an eye out for Harvey, the show's announcer and a special All That guest star in the promo on E! News!

Nickelodeon's Double Dare anniversary special will air Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 9 p.m. on Nick at Nite with vintage footage, behind-the-scenes content and new messy games taped earlier this year. The series originally aired from 1986-1993, making it the network's longest-running game show.

"Double Dare was the show for a particular generation," Summers said in a statement when the special was announced. "For the kids of the '80s and '90s, they laughed and learned, and got messy in the process. Thirty years later, I believe it's still the gold standard."

This special is just the beginning of a weekend full of nostalgia for Nickelodeon USA. On Saturday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. the network will premiere Legends of the Hidden Temple, a new original movie based on the fan-favorite ‘90s game show. And don't fret, Olmec and Kirk Fogg are both back for the movie. The shrine of the silver monkey and the evil temple guards are also there!
