Motionographer has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon won two awards at the 2017 Motion Awards!

The Motion Awards by Motionographer is the only awards show that celebrates the full breadth of motion design by inviting a diverse jury of creators from across the industry to weigh in on a broad range of categories. Nickelodeon's 2017 brand refresh made its debut on-air and online on Saturday 11th March 2017. The look and feel of the refresh reflects the play, surprise and imagination in kids’ lives and delivers on the network’s mission to help make the world a more playful place. Created with global branding and creative agency Superestudio, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Nick’s look focuses on the power of imagination via an array of kids interacting with the real world and Nick’s beloved characters in surprising and surreal mixes of live-action and graphics. The brand refresh has since rolled out onto Nickelodeon's

Nickelodeon's 2017 Holiday Packaging made its debut on-air in December 2017. Created by animation studio Aardman Nathan Love, the holiday refresh features beloved characters from Nick's roaster of hit shows, including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, Henry Danger and The Thundermans, as well as a crop of comic snowballs in a series of bespoke idents, bumpers and promo spots that merge stop-motion with a CG vibe, inspired by holiday classics such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, immortalized by the Rankin/Bass studio.

Below are the full details for each of the awards Nickelodeon picked up in the 2017 Motion Awards. Congratulations Nickelodeon, Superestudio and Aardman Nathan Love!

Winner - TV / Streaming > Network Branding: 2017 Nick Refresh / Superestudio

A system of motion graphic elements intended to brand an entire television or streaming channel

Nickelodeon, now in its 37th year, remains true to its original, core brand promise: Kids First.
Over the years we have expressed this idea in a number of ways, and we have tremendous
equity in the Kids First position. However, what has changed (and continues to change every
day) is what it means to be Kids First. The world moves quickly and kids are often leading the
movement. Kids are change agents, and to be a Kids First brand in today’s media environment
means something very different than it did just a few years ago. This content epitomizes being
true to kids in 2016/17 and expresses the Nickelodeon Kids First brand in this incredibly
surprising, exciting, volatile, no-two-days-the-same media landscape.
