Nick Jr. Australia to Premiere 'Ryan's Mystery Playdate' on Monday, September 2, 2019

NICKELODEON AUSTRALIA UNVEILS RYAN’S MYSTERY PLAYDATE, BRAND NEW PRESCHOOL SERIES STARRING YOUTUBE SUPERSTAR


Preschoolers will be playing and problem-solving along with seven-year-old YouTube superstar Ryan, of Ryan ToysReview, in the brand new live-action series, Ryan’s Mystery Playdate premiering Monday, September 2, 2019 at 8.30am (AEST) on Nick Jr. Australia. Following launch, new episodes will continue to premiere weekdays at 8.30am (AEST) for two weeks until Friday September 10 on the Nick Jr. channel in Australia.

Created and produced by pocket.watch, the new studio creating global franchises with YouTube stars, Ryan’s Mystery Playdate follows Ryan, his parents, and animated friends Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda, as they work together to tackle a series of imaginative, physical challenges and unbox puzzles that ultimately reveal the identity of his mystery playdate.


In the first-ever episode, "Ryan’s Kickin’ Playdate", Ryan comes face-to-face with karate black belt Kieran Tamondong, who tests his chops while teaching him the tricks of his trade.

In the second part of the episode, "Ryan’s Viral Playdate", Ryan scrolls through challenges to find out his next mystery playdate. Sure to go viral, his featured guest is YouTube star MarMar (aka Marlin Ramsey Chan) who has over 3.3 million subscribers of his own!

Other notable guests appearing on the show as Ryan’s mystery playdate include; professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, Captain Man from Henry Danger Cooper Barnes, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, the world’s youngest astronaut Alyssa Carson, 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, original Dance Moms cast member Nia Sioux and many more.

With over 31 billion video views on YouTube and 21 million subscribers, kids are sure to love turning in for their playdates with Ryan in a safe and kid-friendly environment on Nick Jr.

Ryan’s Mystery Playdate premieres on Nick Jr. (Foxtel channel 703, Fetch channel 253) for two weeks at 8.30am AEST from Monday, 2nd September to Friday, 10th September.

Ryan's Mystery Playdate made its world premiere on Nickelodeon USA on Friday, April 19, and has quickly emerged as the number-one preschool show on television in the U.S. Following its launch, Nick commissioned a second season of Ryan's Mystery Playdate, bringing the series total to 40 episodes. Production on a new batch of 20-x-half-hour episodes begun this summer.
