'The Loud House' Special 'Schooled!' Nominated in MPSE's 68th Annual Golden Reel Awards

The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) guild has announced the exciting news that The Loud House special "Schooled!" has been nominated for the "Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Non-Theatrical Animation Long Form" award in the 68th annual Golden Reel Awards, which honor the world’s most talented sound artists and their contributions to the past year’s most outstanding feature film, television, animation and computer entertainment productions!

In the Loud House episode “Schooled!,” Lincoln and his friends are now in middle school, facing new challenges and adventures as they acclimate to the new school’s hierarchy. Each sister has also moved up a grade, making Leni the oldest in the house, while Lori starts her freshman year of college. The special also features two original songs written by Michelle Lewis and Doug Rockwell: “We Got This,” and “Welcome to Canada.”

Making its premiere on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, “Schooled!” is the series’ first one-hour special and also served as the show's season five launch episode.

Below are the full details of The Loud House's nomination in the 68th annual Golden Reel Awards. Winners will be announced during an international virtual trophy ceremony on Friday, April 16. A full list of nominees can be found on mpse.org.
