Nickelodeon Just Broke One of SpongeBob's Biggest Rules | Vailskibum94
SpongeBob SquarePants episodes don't have much continuity, but established rules behind the scenes are generally respected. Stephen Hillenburg didn't want SpongeBob to promote fast food. Now, Nickelodeon has brought Krabby Patties into real life at the NFL Wild Card game.
Nickelodeon aired the NFL Wild Card football game with a few changes, from SpongeBob's various appearances to the field constantly getting slimed. During the game, however, they were giving out real Krabby Patties. This may not seem like a big problem at first, but it goes against what the SpongeBob franchise has stuck to for decades.
To be fair, the stunt wasn't promoting a real-life brand, however. And Krabby Patties are a healthy choice, as the real Krabby Patty secret formula has NO animal protein in it.
