NICKELODEON AND WWE SUPERSTAR JOHN CENA TO HOST THE 2018 KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS

This year’s awards show will air Sunday 25th March at 10:30am on Nickelodeon in the UK and Ireland.

John Cena will also voice a villain character in the new Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series set to air later this year.

London, 11th January 2018 —Nickelodeon announced today that WWE Superstar John Cena is returning to host Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards for the second time.

Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards take place in LA on Saturday 24^th March and will air in the UK on Sunday 25^th March at 10:30am on Nickelodeon. Celebrating kids’ favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more, with stunts and surprises at every turn, the show will return to the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood. Additional Kids’ Choice Awards news, including categories and presenters, will be announced in the coming weeks.

John Cena will also lend his voice to an original villain named Baron Draxum in the brand-new 2D animated series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, set to air in the UK later this year.

“John Cena is one of the biggest stars in the world. Kids just love him” said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon Group. “His blend of humor and originality brings a fresh voice to Nickelodeon both in front of the camera and behind.”

Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards is produced by Nickelodeon Productions. Elizabeth Kelly, Michael Dempsey, Shelly Sumpter Gillyard and Jay Schmalholz are executive producers.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is co-executive produced by Andy Suriano (character designer, Samurai Jack) and Ant Ward (supervising producer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) at Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif. Veteran animation industry voice actor Rob Paulsen is voice directing the series.

London, 24th January 24, 2017 – WWE Superstar, actor and television host John Cena is set to host Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards, airing live in the US on Saturday 11th March followed by the UK premiere on Sunday, 12th March, from 10:00am to 11:30 am (encore from 5:30pm to 7:00pm). The only live event where kids’ votes count and the biggest stars of the day line up to get slimed, Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards will celebrate kids’ favourites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more.

With stunts and surprises at every turn, the show will air from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles and will be seen by kids around the globe on Nickelodeon channels in more than 180 countries and territories. Additional Kids’ Choice Awards news including categories and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards is the biggest party for kids, and I’m so excited and honoured to host this year’s show,” said Cena. “I have a lot of big surprises in store so bring on the slime!”

London, 13th March 2016 – One Direction proved that they are still top for UK kids as they won UK Favourite Music Act and UK Favourite Music Video at Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids' Choice Awards. This year marks the fourth year in a row that the boys have won a blimp for favourite music act, group or band.

Other UK winners at this year's Kids' Choice Awards included Andy Murray (UK Favourite Sports Star) and Cherry Wallis who received the blimp for UK Favourite Breakthrough Vlogger. The Diamond Mine Cart won UK Favourite Tipster for the second year in a row while Grumpy Cat proved the best in her 'cat'egory winning UK Favourite Famous Cat. Fans of Justin Bieber, The Beliebers, won UK Favourite Fan Family.

In acknowledgement of his outstanding athletic career, Mo Farah was presented with an honorary Kids' Choice Award for UK Inspirational Athlete. Farah's sliming by daughters Aisha, Amani and Rhianna was shown as part of the Awards.

Broadcast from the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, California, this year's festivities kicked off with host Blake Shelton getting hosting pep talks from celebrity friends including Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Chewbacca and BB-8. After being alerted that the Stormtroopers were trying to take over the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards, Shelton jumped into action and battled his way onto the show stage via a super-charged chair from The Voice.

During the show, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth and hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa performed a medley of "One Call Away" and "See You Again," right before taking home the blimp for Favourite Collaboration. DNCE closed the show with a performance of their chart-topping single "Cake by the Ocean" that culminated with an ultimate slime dousing of the audience.

The 2016 Kids' Choice Awards proved to be a mega-slime fest, from kids in the audience awarding Shelton with an epic finale sliming, to Henry Danger star Jace Norman dumping a bucket of green goo on John Stamos, to Fifth Harmony getting drenched after their win for Favourite Music Group, and Shelton welcoming Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad to the 'green side.'

Kids paid tribute to their favourites by casting across seven UK specific and additional international categories online, on Nick Play and via Twitter using the hashtag #KCA. Nickelodeon UK Unveils The UK-Specific Nominations For The Nickelodeon 2015 Kids' Choice Awards

Nickelodeon UK and Ireland have announced on Nick UK and Ireland's official "2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards" website, kca2015.com, the UK-specific categories and nominees which will be part of Nick UK's version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2015.

Beginning today, Friday 20th February 2015, NickHeads in the UK and Ireland able to vote in seven UK-exclusive "Nickelodeon 2015 Kids' Choice Awards" category's and pick and choose their favourites from 28 nominees from the worlds of sport and entertainment, as well as vote for their favourites in Nickelodeon's 20 international KCA 2015 categories. Fans can also vote on The Nick App and on Twitter using the hashtags below! Each voting Tweet must feature both the unique hashtag and #KCA in it for it to count. Fans can vote for their favourites until voting closes on Saturday 28th March 2015.

Nickelodeon UK Launches Twitter Voting For The UK Nominees Of The 2014 Kids' Choice Awards

Nickelodeon UK and Ireland has announced the exciting Nickelodeon UK News that, to help make the Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards, also known as "Nickelodeon's 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards", the most successful and most global ever, Nickelodeon UK has launched Kids' Choice Awards 2014 voting on the social networking and microblogging service Twitter, allowing everybody with a Twitter account to vote in all seven of the UK-exclusive "Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards" category's and pick and choose their favourites from 28 KCA 2014 nominees just by Tweeting messages using the special KCA UK hashtags!

Nickelodeon UK Unveils The UK-Specific Nominations For The Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards!

The UK's "Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards" nominees are in!

Nickelodeon UK and Ireland have announced on Nick UK and Ireland's official "2014 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards" website, kca.nick.co.uk, the UK-specific categories and nominees which will be part of Nick UK's version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2014.

Beginning today, Monday 24th February 2014, NickHeads in the UK and Ireland able to vote in seven UK-exclusive "Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards" category's and pick and choose their favourites from 28 nominees from the worlds of sport and entertainment, including the newly introduced nominations for Favourite Football Star, Favourite Book, and Most Enthusiastic Athlete, Favourite Breakthrough, Favourite Vlogger (Video Blogger), and Favourite Fan Family, a brand-new category which honours a celebrity's fan following. Additionally, One Direction has been nominated for the Favourite UK Band.

London, 25th February 2014 – One Direction, Lewis Hamilton, Tom Daley and vlogger Tanya Burr are amongst those who have received nominations today for Nickelodeon's 27th annual Kids' Choice Awards. As of today kids can visit kca.nick.co.uk to place their vote across eight UK specific and 22 international categories and winners will be announced during a slime-filled event hosted by Hollywood heavyweight Mark Wahlberg on Sunday 30th March at 5:30pm.

This year promises to be bigger than ever, with the addition of four brand-new categories for the UK. For the first-time internet sensations Zoella, Tanya Burr, Charlie McDonnell and Marcus Butler will be battling it out for Favourite UK Vlogger. As well as having their say, UK kids themselves have the chance to be recognised as Directioners, Mahomies, Arianators and The Wanted fans will battle it out to win UK Favourite Fan Family.

Football players feature for the first time in the awards with Theo Walcott, Steven Gerrard, Gareth Bale and Wayne Rooney up for UK Favourite Football star. UK Favourite Sports Star returns in 2014 with Tom Daley defending his title against Nicola Adams, Laura Robson and F1 star Lewis Hamilton.

Musically, One Direction and The Wanted will again thrash it out again for UK Favourite Band but this year face competition from X-Factor alumni Union J and Little Mix. The final new category for this year is UK Favourite Breakthrough Act where either The Vamps, Neon Jungle, Little Nikki or Elyar Fox will be victorious as the newcomer who has made the biggest impact in 2013.

Fans can tune in from 5:00pm on Sunday 30th March to catch Diversity dance supremos Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo getting all of the orange carpet gossip before the main event kicks off at 5:30pm.

The 2013 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards will be seen in more than 350 million households around the world and in more than 25 languages. Within hours of airing live in the United States and Canada, the show will roll out internationally, providing kids around the world the opportunity to tune into their local Nickelodeon channel to enjoy the show faster than ever. In many international markets, the 2013 KCAs will feature country-specific award categories and nominees, such as Favourite Asian Act and Favourite UK TV Show. Voting for the 2013 KCAs will span over six continents across 16 localised voting sites, giving kids practically everywhere the chance to decide who takes home a coveted blimp.

Ratings for the 2012 KCAs were up double-digits YOY internationally and the show was rated #1 in its timeslot among kid’s channels in key international markets, including the UK, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Singapore. It was ranked as basic cable’s top telecast for the week (26th March 2012– 1st April 2012) with 6.2 million total viewers and was the number-one telecast for the week with kids and tweens across all TV. The celebrity filled telecast scored the most votes in the show’s history - a
record 223 million (+11%, over last year) votes were cast across Nick.com, Nick’s mobile site, a brand-new iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch apps, an iPad-optimised site, an application on Nick’s Facebook page and via Twitter and custom hash tags.

Nickelodeon UK Looking For Suggestions For Brand New UK-Specific KCA Award Categories For The "Nickelodeon 2013 Kids' Choice Awards"!

It's nearly 2013, which means that the Nickelodeon 2013 Kids' Choice Awards are quite nearly just around the corner, and to celebrate, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland are asking on their official Twitter profile page (@NickelodeonUK) for viewers and fans to send them suggestions for which brand new UK-specific Kids' Choice Awards award category's they would like to be added to Nickelodeon UK's version of the 26th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which are due to be held during Spring 2013:

UK-Irish Boy Band "One Direction" Talk About The Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Awards And Their Success In North America

The boyband talk to Digital Spy ahead of their KCA performance and award win.

One Direction have admitted that they are shocked and amazed by their quick success in the US music charts.

The X Factor boyband broke chart records by scoring a number one with their debut disc Up All Night.

The group performed at last weekend's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and are rumoured to have been invited to the White House after meeting Michelle Obama at the ceremony. The five-piece also picked up a gong at the awards show for 'Favourite UK Band'.

"Coming over here and having the reception to our music so far, it's been amazing," Styles told Digital Spy.

"For people to accept us and welcome us and to give us an award has been amazing."

Nickelodeon UK has revealed who has won the UK-Specific Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Awards awards as part of Nickelodeon UK's version of the Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Awards! Who won Nickelodeon UK's famous coveted Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards orange blimps? Find out below!

UK-Irish Boy Band "One Direction" won the Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Award for "Favourite UK Newcomer", which was announced and presented to the band members (Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan) at the KCA 2012 event at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles, California, USA by Nickelodeon and "House Of Anubis" stars Brad Kavanagh and Ana Mulvoy Ten.

The British version of "The X Factor", "The X Factor UK", won a Nickelodeon UK Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Award in the "Favourite UK TV Show", beating stiff competition from Nickelodeon's very own "House Of Anubis". Nickelodeon UK's "Favourite UK TV Show" 2012 Kids' Choice Award was presented and announced by Nickelodeon and "Victorious" stars Leon Thomas III, Ariana Grande, and Elizabeth Gillies, and the Kids' Choice Awards blimp was accepted by the British girl group "Little Mix" (Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall) who the the 2011 series of "The X Factor UK".
