Viacom Launches Nickelodeon Play App in Central and Eastern Europe [Updated]

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) is launching its first mobile video streaming app in partnership with an affiliate platform in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)!


Effective Wednesday 19th September 2018, Telenor customers in Serbia have free access to long-form content through Nickelodeon Play VoD mobile app. Telenor will also launch the app in Montenegro next month, with additional CEE affiliate partners to follow in the coming months.

The Nickelodeon Play app offers access to both full-length episodes of it Nickelodeon live-action and animated series and short form content, with a lineup of content from series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Game Shakers, Alvin and the Chipmunks and PAW Patrol.


Nickelodeon Play is available under Telenor's Total 2, 5 and 10 packages, as well as the Play and Premium packages, free of charge. All other postpaid users can activate and try out the application for 30 days, after which the price of the tariff supplement is RSD 195.

Update (7/11): Viacom and Telenor have launched the Nickelodeon Play app in Montenegro! Play Plus and Premium Plus package users can activate the app for free, while for other postpaid and prepaid users they are available as a tariff add-on. Nickelodeon Play is part of Viacom’s wider suite of channel branded mobile apps for its core global brands, giving audiences direct access to a VoD content library of the most popular Nickelodeon shows, original animated shorts, games, and more. The app won the Emi Award for outstanding achievement in interactive media and enables users to watch their favourite cartoons and series and play original games whenever and wherever they want, on mobile devices.

Nickelodeon Launches Localized Channels In Serbia And Slovenia

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon Europe News that Nickelodeon has recently launched two brand new localized (localised) channels in Serbia and Slovenia (Nickelodeon Serbia and Nickelodeon Slovenia)!

In underscoring the network’s growth strategy in the Central Eastern European region, the channels fall in the footsteps of Nickelodeon Croatia, which launched in December 2011:
