Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) has announced plans to host SlimeFest 2020, the channel's fifth annual localised version of Nickelodeon's slime-filled, multiplatform music and entertainment event!
Due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, SlimeFest 2020 Italia will take on a whole new format. Instead of a live event, SlimeFest 2020 will be a TV special full of surprises, special guests and, of course, Nickelodeon Slime that will come directly from Nickelodeon's "Secret" laboratories!
Hosted by Cecilia Cantarano and Valeria Vedovatti, winners of "Nuova Star Italiana" and "Internet Star Italiana", respectively at Kids' Choice Awards 2020, SlimeFest 2020 will premiere on Nickelodeon Italia on Friday 11th December at 20:00.

Update (26/10) - Nickelodeon Italia has announced that digital creators Giorgia Malerba, Giorgio Solfrizzi, Marta Losito, Michelle Cavallaro, Noa Planas and Swami Caputo will be special guests at SlimeFest 2020!
Update (16/11) - Nickelodeon Italia has announced that Il Tre, Leo Gassmann, Random, Shade and Ludwig will be performing at SlimeFest 2020! Additionally, fans have the chance to win virtual meet and greets with the stars of SlimeFest 2020!
Leading up to SlimeFest 2020, Nickelodeon will air "Road to SlimeFest", which will introduce viewers to the artists and guests who will be appearing on the show.

SlimeFest è arrivato alla quinta edizione e torna quest'anno con un format tutto nuovo! L'edizione 2020, non sarà un evento live come quello degli anni passati, ma uno show televisivo, ricco di sorprese, ospiti e, naturalmente slime che arriverà direttamente dai laboratori "segreti" di Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) gave viewers a sneak-peek of Team Jay, a brand-new CG-animated series following the adventures of Jay, the proud, mythical and funny zebra with a pattern of black, white and gold and the official team mascot of Juventus F.C.! Joining Jay on his adventures are Matteo, who has a solution for every problem that arises, and Cami, an excellent soccer player.
Nickelodeon Italia aired the first episode of Team Jay on Wednesday 26th June 2019 at 20:50, following an encore of Nickelodeon's SlimeFest 2019 highlights special. Following the sneak-peek, the series is expected to fully premiere in September 2019.
Update (13/9) - Nick Jr. Italia will fully premiere Team Jay on Monday 23rd September 2019 at 19.00! To celebrate, Nickelodeon Italia will host a special preview of the first three episodes of Nickelodeon Italia on Sunday 22nd September 2019 at 16:00 in the "area kids" area of FeST, il Festival delle Serie TV!
Nickelodeon also treated attendees to Nickelodeon SlimeFest 2019 at Mirabilandia on Saturday 15th June 2019 to a super preview of the show.
Team Jay is produced by Sunrise Productions (Munki and Trunk, Jungle Beat, The Explorers), who created the mascot for Juventus Football Club in 2015. Jay taps into the deep history of Italy’s oldest club, while still being fresh and exciting to Juventus’s youngest supporters. The Cape Town, South Africa-based animation studio has previously produced one-off spots inspired by the character.
Dan Balaam, a Freelance Writer & Creative, serves as a writer on the series.
Team Jay is the latest collaboration between Nickelodeon Italia and Juventus F.C., following the launch of a capsule collection inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants and the football team in 2018.

SpongeBob also attended the slime-filled event, which kicked of Nickelodeon's celebrations commemorating the 20th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants! During his visit, SpongeBob also entertained fans by performing on stage!
Fans at home can catch a 50-minute SLIMEFEST special, premiering Friday 21st June 2019 at 20:00 on Nickelodeon. The special will also air on MTV Italia on Sunday 30th June 2019 at 17:00!
