Hulu to Premiere 'Find Me in Paris' Season 3 on Friday, August 21, 2020

Find Me in Paris season 3 will pirouette onto streaming service Hulu in the U.S. on Friday, August 21!

Find Me in Paris is a live-action dance-themed tween drama centering on Lena Grisky, a Russian princess attending the Paris Opera Ballet School, the most elite dance institution in the world. But Lena has a secret. She’s a time traveler!

Season 3 Trailer | Find Me In Paris

Find Me In Paris is a fun fish out of water story about Lena Grisky, a Russian Princess and student at the Paris Opera Ballet School that accidentally time travels to present day. In Find Me In Paris Lena must quickly adapt to modern advances like technology, teen slang, and fashionable clothes. Lena tries to keep her secret and hide from the dangerous Time Collectors. Have fun watching the series Find Me In Paris on this official channel and this episode of Max and Isaac.

It's currently unknown whether Nickelodeon UK & Ireland will air Find Me in Paris season three, however, the first two seasons performed very well for the channel with the series becoming a firm fan-favourite, so its more than likely that Nick will acquire the rights to the third season.

Fans can catch up on seasons one and two weeknights at 7:30pm on Nick UK & Eire and via Nickelodeon On Demand! Fans can also visit nick.co.uk/paris and the Nick Play app to find out more about the show and it's characters, watch short video clips, and play games and quizzes.

The new season sees the introduction of two rising stars from Britain to the cast: Isabelle Allen, who features in the Netflix series Safe and played young Cosette in the movie Les Misérables, and Jake Swift, who starred in Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism, alongside Joan Collins, Emily Watson, Celia Imrie, and the miniseries New Worlds.

Filmed in Paris – including at the Garnier Opera House – the new season will also travel to the French Riviera, where the students participate in an international dance workshop, and Brussels. Principal photography commenced in July 2019.

The new season will comprise 26 half hours, bringing the series to a total of 78 episodes.

In Season 3, Lena seeks to find who she is and why everyone is so interested in her and her timepiece. When she and her friends attend a dance workshop in the South of France, they have to fight for the only spot available in the company. What will Lena do when the Time Bureau comes for her and tries to bring her back to 1905?

“The new season will push the boat out even further with exciting storylines, new characters, compelling dance sequences, and new locations that we have no doubt will continue to thrill and entertain viewers,” said David Michel, president of Cottonwood Media and managing director of Federation Kids & Family.

Find Me in Paris has also become a mega digital hit, with the original soundtracks from Seasons 1 & 2 (available across all key music streaming platforms) notching up an incredible 1.2 million streams (30% from Germany, 15.5% US, 11.5% France), and Spotify registering 780k streams.

In the last 3 months, Instagram recorded more than 2 million impressions, with an average level of engagement of 29% (English Insta account) and 45% for the best post. The Find Me in Paris YouTube channel has grown by a breathtaking 550% since November 2019, with almost 7 million views. Find Me in Paris is also the top teen live action show in France.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see broadcasters renew their interest in this hit series. The brilliant social media results relating to Find Me in Paris also shines a spotlight on the show’s extensive global fan base and we are delighted to be hitting all the right notes!” said Monica Levy, Head of Sales, Federation Kids & Family.

With 3 Seasons, Find Me in Paris (78 x 26’) is a premium hit tween series that combines world-class ballet, modern dance, drama and comedy. It follows the story of Lena Grisky, a time-travelling ballet dancer from 1905 Russia trapped in modern day Paris, and the many dilemmas she faces finding her place between two worlds.

Find Me in Paris is produced by David Michel, Zoé Carrera Allaix, Cecile Lauritano. The series is a Cottonwood Media production, co-produced with ZDF, ZDF Enterprises, Be-Films and the Opera National de Paris. Co-created and co-executive produced by Jill Girling and Lori Mather-Welch (creators of Nickelodeon’s hit series Ride), with Leila Smith as Executive Producer. Find Me in Paris is directed by Matt Bloom (Emmy Award-Winning Hank Zipzer, and Disney’s The Lodge), along with heavyweight Irish directing team Ronan and Robert Burke (TV3’s hit show Ed Rock, Netflix’s Free Rein, animated series Roy and Damo & Ivor: The Movie).

Find Me in Paris is distributed worldwide by Federation Kids & Family (excluding Germany, GST and Scandinavia which is handled by ZDF Enterprises). Various seasons of the 12-million-euro time-traveling ballet series have already been snapped up by a plethora of international broadcasters such as France Télévisions and Disney (France and Italy), NBC Universal and Hulu (USA), ABC (Australia), VRT (Belgium), RAI (Italy), Quebecor (French speaking Canada) , HBO (Portugal), Hot TV (Israel), and SVOD service Showmax (South Africa), to name a few.

Following on from the success of preceding seasons, Disney France, France TV, ABC (Australia), RTBF (Belgium), SIC Kids and RTP (Portugal) have all acquired the third season of Find Me in Paris.

Nickelodeon Names Zack Olin as SVP of Live-Action

Nickelodeon has announced today (Tuesday, August 18) that it has hired Zack Olin as its Senior Vice President (SVP) of live-action.

In the newly-created role, Olin will partner with Shauna Phelan, who serves as Senior Vice President of live-action scripted content. Together they will oversee scripted series, movies and specials in the company’s scripted division. Both will report to Brian Robbins, President of ViacomCBS Kids and Family Entertainment. Olin will be based in Hollywood.

The appointment formalizes Olin’s relationship with Nickelodeon, having previously served a live-action development consultant for the network. Before that, Olin spent several years at ABC Studios (now ABC Signature) as Vice President (VP), Creative Development, overseeing series like Grown-ish, Speechless, The Kids Are Alright and The Real O’Neals.

Prior to that, Olin served as executive director of current programming at ABC Network Entertainment, where he oversaw series such as Happy Endings, Cougar Town, Better Off Ted, Samantha Who? and Body of Proof as well as story and animation for the animated release Schoolhouse Rock! Earth.

Olin also worked on the Development and Current Programming teams at Fox Broadcasting, assisting in the development of American Dad and managing series including The Simpsons, That 70’s Show, The Bernie Mac Show and MadTV. Olin began his television career at CBS Productions as an assistant on the development team.

This hire marks a continued focus on live-action content for the company. In June, ViacomCBS’s kids and family division hired Yolanda Cochran as SVP of live-action long-form production for its Nickelodeon channels. Around the same time, ViacomCBS also named Syrinthia Studer as the first Executive Vice President (EVP) of Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Films, overseeing all live-action feature-length content for Awesomeness and Nick’s kids and family studio.

Despite these appointments, Nickelodeon’s live-action efforts have faced significant delays after shutdowns related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic shuttered filming around the world earlier this year. Recent live-action offerings have instead focused on remote filming, like the quarantine-themed Danger Force special that aired in May and subsequent filmed-at-home shorts.

'The Legend of Korra' Merchandise Sale Brings Home The Latest World of Bending

With the Legend of Korra's arrival onto Netflix, fans are re-discovering the sequel series of Avatar The Last Airbender and the re-incarnation of Aang, and Hot Topic is having an exclusive sale for not only some of the hottest Funko Pops created for the characters of the acclaimed Nickelodeon series, but other merchandise that spawned from it to boot! Though Korra marked the last time that we saw the world of bending on TV, it's clear that the fandom is still rallying behind the series and hoping to one day see its return!

Netflix, prior to acquiring both Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, announced that it would be producing a live action adaptation for the first series, re-telling the story of Aang awakening from a block of ice and attempting to take down the Fire Nation and their campaign of world domination. Though Aang and his friends have certainly had their fair share of merchandise, Korra is definitely looking to catch up with their overall sales with the retailer Hot Topic attempting to capitalize on the Netflix acquisition - the show has already become the number one title on the streamer!

Hot Topic currently has the Legend of Korra shirts and vinyl figures for sale here, while Funko took to their official Twitter account to help push forward the sale as well by showing off the amazing Funko Pop figurine for Korra that shows off her excellent use of bending as the Avatar:

The Legend of Korra ran for fifty two episodes over the course of four seasons (or "Books"), giving us some brand new adventures for the re-incarnation of Aang, and introducing a world where bending had become so common place, it was used by a number of citizens in their every day lives. With Korra struggling against benders and a rogue movement looking to make bending a thing of the past, it will be interesting to see if we ever revisit this world in a possible sequel or a live action series re-telling these stories. Like its precessor, the story of The Legend of Korra has continued with best-selling graphic novels from Dark Horse.

What pops out for you as a part of this Legend of Korra sale? Feel free to let me know in the comments or hit me up directly on Twitter @DailyNickNews to talk all things Avatar The Last Airbender!
