Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of Nickelodeon's most-loved series, and its reach is continuing to go new places. Despite a sour adaptation years ago, the animated series is giving live-action a second go at Netflix. Not long ago, the leads of the adaptation were made public at last, with Gordon Cormier set to portray the titular character, Avatar Aang, and the young actor has revealed how far he is willing to go to bring the beloved character to life in this brand new take on the fan-favorite world!
Twitter Outlet Avatar News shared the latest back and forth between Cormier and a fan, wherein the young actor made it clear that he was willing to shave his head to be Aang and would expect nothing less considering the majority of the series saw the young airbender sans hair:

Joining Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio will play the role of the water bending Katara, Ian Ousley will be portraying the comic relief Sokka, and Dallas Liu will be playing the exiled prince of the Fire Nation, Zuko. Each of these young actors has already expressed their commitment and excitement for their respective roles, but Cormier upped the game with a commitment to shave his head once he begins stepping into the role of the Avatar and the last remaining member of the Water Tribe. Though this isn't the first time that we've seen a live-action take on the world of bending, many fans are confident that this series will overtake M. Night Shyamalan's take on the universe.
The live-action take of Avatar The Last Airbender has run into some controversy before the series hit the airwaves, mostly thanks to the departure of the original creators of the series, who would have been showrunners on this new take. Leaving due to "creative differences", creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have re-joined Nickelodeon to head Avatar Studios where they'll once again dive into the world of bending that has become so popular over the years.

THE J TEAM is a 90-minute feature-length film that follows a young girl named JoJo (Siwa) whose life is turned upside down when her beloved dance coach Val decides to retire and is replaced by a sparkle-hating instructor named Poppy. Wanting to stay in the running for an upcoming dance competition, JoJo and her best friends, The Rubies, must try their hardest to abide by Poppy's new, harsh rules. Realizing she cannot hide her sparkle or bow anymore, JoJo is kicked out of her dance troupe and must rediscover what dancing means to her.
In addition to Siwa, cast members of THE J TEAM include NAACP Image Awards(R) nominee Tisha Campbell-Martin (Martin, Empire) as Poppy, Laura Soltis (Hiccups) as coach Val, Julia Marley (Dead to Me) as Nina, and Kerrynton Jones (Little Fires Everywhere) and Kiara T. Romero (The Prom) as The Rubies.

Update (8/28) - It seems like there may of been a mistake somewhere along the line, as it looks like there's currently no plans for season 9 to premiere in September 2021.

In "Something Narwhal This Way Comes," two familiar faces from SpongeBob's past visit Bikini Bottom, but they bring a big problem along with them. (271A)
And in "C.H.U.M.S.," after falling down the drain, Plankton finds an unlikely ally in the sewers. (271B)
The episode synopsis for "Something Narwhal This Way Comes" hints that Narlene (Kate Higgins, Blaze and the Monster Machines) and Nobby (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui, Rocko's Modern Life, The Casagrandes), two backwoods narwhal siblings who SpongeBob and the gang befriend at Kamp Koral, will be making a cameo, whilst the episode title "C.H.U.M.S." appears to be a play on the hit sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
Premiere dates for both episodes have yet to be announced.
