Sept. 5, 2023 – “Star Trek” continues its salute to the 50th anniversary of “Star Trek: The Animated Series” with the launch of STAR TREK: very SHORT TREKS, five all-new animated promotional shorts, and the new comic book Star Trek: The Animated Celebration Presents The Scheimer Barrier, both debuting on Friday, Sept. 8 as part of the annual “Star Trek Day” global celebration.

CBS Studios is launching STAR TREK: very SHORT TREKS, a series of all-new animated promotional spots in the style of “Star Trek: The Animated Series.” The very Short Treks will feature previously announced fan-favorite characters voiced by cast members from across the “Star Trek” universe, including icons Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker, Doug Jones as Saru and Armin Shimerman as Quark, and a new lineup of exciting voices, including Ethan Peck as Spock, Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Connor Trinneer as Trip Tucker, Bruce Horak as Hemmer, Noël Wells as Tendi and the legendary George Takei as Sulu.

STAR TREK: very SHORT TREKS comes from creative consultant Casper Kelly, best known for the viral smash hit “Too Many Cooks” and his work on STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS and Adult Swim. The first animated spot will launch on “Star Trek Day,” Sept. 8, exclusively on StarTrek.com and the official “Star Trek” YouTube channel, with four additional animated spots rolling out weekly on Wednesdays through Oct. 4 at 10:00 AM, PT/1:00 PM, ET. Titles and release schedule include:

Sept. 8 – “Skin a Cat”
Sept. 13 – “Holiday Party”
Sept. 20 – “Worst Contact”
Sept. 27 – “Holograms, All the Way Down”
Oct. 4 – “Walk, Don’t Run”

Casper Kelly will also release a new comic book with IDW Publishing, Star Trek: The Animated Celebration Presents the Scheimer Barrier. The first chapter of the comic will debut digitally on Sept. 8 on StarTrek.com with physical copies available at New York Comic Con in October. Additional chapters of the comic will drop weekly on Wednesdays on StarTrek.com at 10:00 AM, PT/1:00 PM, ET.

Jeff Rowe to Talk About 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem' At VIEW Conference 2023

The VIEW Conference, Italy’s premier international event on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Animation, VR and AR, Gaming, and VFX, will host Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem with Jeff Rowe, a session in which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem director Rowe will talk about his blockbuster Nickelodeon Movie! The in-person event will take place on Friday, October 20 from 17:45-18:45 CET.

These are meetings where participants can ask for demo reel reviews, pitching advice, gain portfolio feedback, and make new connections in the animation industry.

I’m The Chef Too! and Hasbro Enter into Licensing Agreements for Transformers: EarthSpark, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig and Candy Land Baking Kits

I’m The Chef Too!, the award-winning educational monthly subscription company, announced that they have entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with Hasbro, a toy and game company, to create co-branded cooking kits for several of their popular brands.

Sold individually and as bundles online at www.imthecheftoo.com, the Transformers, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig and Candy Land baking kits will launch in September 2023, just in time for the holiday season. This strategic Hasbro collaboration will allow I’m The Chef Too! to bring some of most recognizable and beloved brands into new spaces within the homes of families throughout the nation.

“I am excited to bring these characters to life through our adventure baking kits,” said Lisa Wallace, Co-Founder and CEO of I’m The Chef Too! “This collaboration features world-class IP and creates an opportunity for families to get up close and personal with their favorite brands!”

Random House Children’s Books Teams with Nickelodeon For ‘PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ Companion Books

Books’ release to celebrate the new film coming to theaters Sept. 29.

Nickelodeon’s rescue dogs are back again in theaters, and Random House Children’s Books is presenting five new movie tie-in books to celebrate PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.

The books – a Little Golden Book, an activity book, an early reader for children just learning to read and two storybooks – will be companions to the film.

The new movie comes to theaters Sept. 29.

When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! But things take a turn for the worse when the pups' arch-rival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with a mad scientist to steal the superpowers for the two villains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it's too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.
