Ratings For The Premiere Of 'Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie' On Nickelodeon USA Released

The premiere of Nickelodeon brand-new Hey Arnold! television movie, Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie on Nick USA (simulcast on TeenNick and NickSplat) on Friday 24th November 2017 at 7:00pm ET/PT was watched by 1,630,000 viewers! Additionally, the movie was Nickelodeon's #1 telecast for that day, ranking #6 in total on the list of Top 150 Original Cable Telecasts for Friday 24th November 2017!

Admittedly, the ratings aren't super great, but considering that the movie aired during Thanksgiving, traditionally a time when families spend time together, and that the majority of Nickelodeon's audience is kids, who have most likely never heard of Hey Arnold! before, the ratings are very respectable. The ratings also do not take in account how many streamed the movie on Nick.com and the Nick App.

Below is the demo breakdown of the ratings for the debut of Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie:

Nickelodeon (first hour): 1,390,000 (0.40)
Nick at Nite (second hour): 1,146,000 (0.38)
Nicktoons: 234,000 (0.03)
TeenNick: 128,000 (0.04)

In recent interviews, Craig Bartlett, the creator of Nickelodeon's beloved '90s animated series, mentioned that if "The Jungle Movie" did well, it could lead to a sixth season. To me, the ratings seem very good, so hopefully we'll be seeing more Hey Arnold! on our screens soon.

Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie encores Saturday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Dec. 1, at 12:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on TeenNick's NickSplat. The movie is also available to watch online at Nick.com, on the Nick App, Nickelodeon on Demand, and on iTunes or Amazon.

In Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie, Arnold finally got answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents. Featuring a storyline picking up where the original TV series ended in 2004, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie follows the kids on the field trip of a lifetime, where Arnold and his friends embark on a quest to achieve his dream of finding his missing parents.

Co-written and executive produced by the TV series’ original creator Craig Bartlett, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie features original voice cast members Francesca Marie Smith (The Prince of Egypt) as Helga and Anndi McAfee (Tom and Jerry: The Movie) as Phoebe, alongside dynamic new voice talent Mason Vale Cotton (Mad Men) as Arnold and Benjamin “Lil’ P-Nut” Flores, Jr. (Game Shakers) as Gerald.

Lane Toran (original voice of Arnold) and Jamil Walker Smith (original voice of Gerald) are also amongst the returning cast members, lending their voices as Che and Paulo, two members of the boat crew in San Lorenzo. Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) stars as resident villain, Lasombra.

Viewers can visit the Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie page on Nick.com and the Nick App, along with the Hey Arnold! Facebook page and Instagram, to get a look at the TV movie. Nickelodeon Australia And New Zealand Partners With Jay Jays For Retro Nick Shirts

Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand has partnered with Australian apparel chain store Jay Jays to launch a range of retro Nickelodeon apparel inspired by Nickelodeon's beloved '90s series Rugrats and Rocko's Modern Life!

The Rugrats t-shirts are available now, with the Rocko's Modern Life line expected soon.

Nickelodeon and Jay Jays previously partnered for a range of T-shirts featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Invader ZIM and Rugrats in 2011.

Nickelodeon 4Teen France To Premiere 'Tiny Christmas' On Friday 15th December 2017

Nickelodeon 4Teen France will premiere Tiny Christmas, a brand-new Nickelodeon Original Movie which puts a tiny spin on the year’s biggest holiday, on Friday 15th December 2017 at 18:10! The movie will be locally titled Un Super Mini-Noël

In Nickelodeon's brand-new holiday TV movie Tiny Christmas, it's Christmas Eve, and a clumsy elf accidentally shrinks down two cousins into miniature sizes! The kids are then scooped up into Santa's sack and dropped off across the street at their neighbor's house. In order to make it home for Christmas (just one house away!), the tiny kids must comically work together to navigate holiday hazards - including a giant cat - so that they can set themselves right and make Christmas magic happen! But, will the tiny kids get home on time?

Tiny Christmas stars Riele Downs from Niebezpieczny Henryk and Lizzy Greene from Nicky, Ricky, Dicky et Dawn. Matty Finochio will also star in the movie as Chill the Elf.

Based on a script written by screenwriting team Brian Sawyer & Gregg Rossen, Tiny Christmas was filmed in Canada, including in Langley in British Columbia, earlier this year, and is produced by Two 4 The Money Media. The movie is directed by Jon R. Rosenbaum, and executive produced by Michael McGahey (Vice President, Series at MarVista Entertainment). Nickelodeon acquired the script from Brian & Gregg in September 2015. Jordan Cassidy serves as the on-set Dresser for the film, and TINK serves as production designer on the Nickelodeon MOW.

Tiny Christmas will make its world debut on Nickelodeon USA on Saturday 2nd December 2017, and will then roll out on Nickelodeon channels and programming blocks globally.

A New York City apartment building holds mysteries and adventures behind every door in Nickelodeon’s newest animated series, Welcome to the Wayne, premiering on Nickelodeon Iberia on Monday 4th December 2017. Created and written by Emmy® Award-winning writer and composer Billy Lopez (The Wonder Pets) and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning creative executive Michael Pecoriello (Yu-Gi-Oh!), the 20-episode series follows three kids as they explore their strange and fantastical apartment building, the Wayne, where nothing is what it seems. Welcome to the Wayne will air at 19:00 on Nickelodeon Portugal (locally titled Bem-Vindos Ao Wayne) and on Nickelodeon Spain (España) at at 20:00 (locally titled Bienvenido al Wayne). Welcome to the Wayne follows the comedic adventures of three friends, Ansi Molina, Olly Timbers, and Saraline Timbers, as they aim to unlock the secrets of the Wayne. Each new investigation brings them face-to-face with new characters, creatures, and oddities, known as “Wayne Phenomena,” leading them closer to uncovering the truth about the weird things happening in their building.

In the series premiere, “Rise and Shine Sleepyhead,” Ansi, a new resident of the Wayne, must work with siblings Olly and Saraline to stop a rampaging threat deep within their home.



The voice cast of the US-English dub of Welcome to the Wayne includes: Alanna Ubach (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) as Ansi, the anxious new kid in town; creator and co-executive producer Billy Lopez as Olly Timbers, the adventurous 10-year-old son of a toy maker and a military scientist, and lifelong resident of the Wayne; and Dana Steingold (Avenue Q musical) as Saraline Timbers, Olly’s responsible and more mature little sister.

Additional voice cast members include: Veronica Taylor (Pokémon) as The Spy from Apartment 8-I; Marc Thompson (Pokémon) as Masterson; and Robbie Sublett (The Good Wife) as Flowershirt; Dave Willis (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as George the Doorman; Dana Snyder (The Thundermans) as Wendell Wasserman; Nikki M. Guest stars this season include: Annie Potts (Ghostbusters) as Olympia Timbers; Andrew Rannells (Girls) as Andrei, Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) as Albert Molina; Richard Kind (Inside Out) as Harvey Timbers; Emo Philips (Adventure Time) as Dennis O’Bannon; David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Leif Bornewell III; Daniel Abeles (Smash) as Randy; and Shannon Walsh (Begin Again) as Madison Payne; and Clarke Thorell (The Americans) as Garrison Payne.

Before the full-length series, Welcome to the Wayne was Nickelodeon’s first digital short-form series, which debuted on official Nickelodeon websites and the Nick Play app in select markets, including on nick.es and nick.pt.

Billy Lopez is an Emmy-winning writer and composer from New York City. He has written for shows including Phineas and Ferb and South Park and been head writer on several preschool shows, including The Wonder Pets!, 3rd & Bird! and PBS’s Peg + Cat. Lopez also co-created an adult sitcom for ABC Studios. Michael Pecoriello is an Emmy Award-winning creative leader. He has overseen campaigns for Nickelodeon tent poles Kids’ Choice Awards, Kids’ Choice Sports and the HALO Awards and also served as supervising producer and head writer on animated series Yu-Gi-Oh!.
