Nickelodeon alum Michelle Trachtenberg recalls how "cruel" classmates used to bully her on Valentine's Day over her fame.

On Friday, February 14, former child star Michelle Trachtenberg detailed how her 'cruel' classmates used to bully her on Valentine's Day over her fame.

"Back in my day all the kids had to write a bulls*** Valentine's Day card to everyone in the class. I never got one on purpose," the 34-year-old Daytime Emmy nominee revealed to her social media followers.

"No one ever gave me one and they thought I didn't need the attention. The kids and staff all laughed and thought everyone else should get one."

Michelle began her acting career at age 3 in order to help her bank manager mother Lana and fiber-optics engineer father Michael "pay the bills" in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

"The kids were cruel. There is no need to harp on the past. But I still have scars from being thrown down stairs and slammed into lockers head first,' Trachtenberg recalled.

"I write this to every child, teen, person, out there who is bullied. You are something. Do not put your value in someone else. Not letting them win, is your win."

The Gossip Girl alum then gave a shout-out to three teachers - Mrs. Vollman, Mrs. Lighter, and Mr. Beckman - who protected her and sheltered her in their classrooms "so kids wouldn't throw their food at me."

Michelle reportedly attended Isaac Asimov PS-99 and I.S. 98 Bay Academy in Brooklyn before moving to Sherman Oaks where she attended Notre Dame High School.

Trachtenberg also Insta-storied a sardonic comic about couples on the romantic holiday.

The Human Kind Of star's most recent acting gig was in June when she parodied her character Harriet the Spy in Adult Swim's Robot Chicken, which was created by her former Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Seth Green.


It's been 24 years since Michelle made her big-screen debut as the inquisitive 11-year-old in the Nickelodeon Movie, which earned $26.6M at the box office. Prior to the movie, Michelle starred in Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete.

Trachtenberg was last seen sparkling in a rose-gold sequin Mark Zunino gown at the 28th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood last Sunday.

Disliz Launches '90s Nickelodeon Watch Collection in Mexico

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has partnered with Mexican watchmaker Disliz to launch a '90s Nickelodeon watch collection!

Each watch design features characters from a beloved Nickelodeon series, such as Tommy, Chuckie, Angélica (Carlitos) and Reptar from Rugrats, Arnold Shortman, Gerald Johanssen: and Helga Pataki from Hey Arnold!, Rocko and Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life, Ickis and Oblina from AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles from SpongeBob SquarePants, ZIM and GIR from Invader ZIM, CatDog, Marland “Ren” T. Höek and Stimpson “Stimpy” J. Cat from The Ren & Stimpy Show, and Norbert and Daggett Beaver from The Angry Beavers.

To date, Disliz has released over 30 collectible '90s Nickelodeon watches.

Each watch model is produced in batches of 200, with the production number of each watch engraved on the back. Once a model has sold out, another 200 of that watch model is produced. Some watches, such as one of the Reptar watches, is a limited edition, however. Each watch is designed in Mexico and produced in Asia.

Each watch in the collection retails for $990.00 pesos ($53.41 USD), and comes in a special box.

Different watch models have different demand challenges, such as integrating the Nickelodeon character into a design that is not limited to the face of the watch as traditionally done. At Disliz, a single designer generates about 100 designs from which five options are chosen that are sent to licensees. “Patrick (from SpongeBob) was the one who gave us the most headache. I think we did about 400 or 500 because we couldn't find the shape of the clock design,” revealed Enrique Uribe, one of the founders of Disliz, to GQ México.

A similar challenge was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series that Disliz will launch in March 2020. "It was very difficult because the color of the turtles is very similar from head to toe," he says of the clocks they will release during the La Mole comic convention. It is planned that during the meeting (from March 15 to 17) a set will be developed where “there are turtles, there [will be] graffiti, big clocks” in which you can purchase this collection that [has already] approved by Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the iconic characters.

Uribe attributes the emotional value that collectors can find on each watch as to their popularity. "We want to bring issues to the emotional side," he tells GQ. "That if you are at home or on public transport, seeing your watch takes you to that moment when you were a child."
"I loved the idea of ​​making a collectible in Mexico and saying that now Japaneses or Americans are the ones who have to come here to buy the first or exclusive pieces."

Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside Hosts Star-Studded Grand Opening at intu Lakeside

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Parques Reunidos today, Saturday 15th February 2020 hosted the grand opening of Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside, the brand new Nickelodeon-themed indoor family entertainment centre at intu Lakeside in Essex!

Among the famous faces celebrating the opening of Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside were former The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge and her family, ex-footballer husband Wayne, 39, and their children Parker, six, and Carter Bridge, four.

Also enjoying the attraction with their families were The Only Way Is Essex stars Samantha and Billie Faiers.

The Mummy Diaries Billie was joined by her family, Greg Shepherd and children, daughter Nelly and son Arthur. Billie's sister Sam was joined by her partner Paul Knightley and children Paul Jnr and Rosie.

The star-studded event saw the stars and their families immerse themselves in the worlds of their favourite Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Attending celebrities, media and influencers were treated to exclusive Nickelodeon goody bags. SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star also made special appearances for photo ops.

The Nickelodeon-themed indoor family entertainment centre from Nickelodeon and Parques Reunidos provides pure entertainment for kids and families. Boasting a colourful décor, the centre is highly interactive with a large variety of adventure zones as well as a dedicated space for the younger members of the family, numerous attractions and Nickelodeon-themed areas - perfect for birthday parties and family get-togethers. Experiences include character meet-and-greets featuring some of Nickelodeon's most beloved characters, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and The Fairly OddParents. Building on intu Lakeside's highly successful catering offer, it also boasts a dedicated food and beverage area called the Slime Café and a Nickelodeon retail space offering Nickelodeon merchandise. Characters are brought to life in four interactive zones: Nickelodeon Central; Bikini Bottom; Ninja Turtle Zone, and Adventure Bay.

With a 4D cinema and private party suites, Nickelodeon Adventure is described as the perfect place for birthday parties, weekends, holidays or even an after school treat.

Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside opened its doors in December 2019, but today was the centre's official opening.

Tickets cost £14.95 for children and £7.50 for adults with separate annual passes also available.
