'The Loud House'/'Double Dare' Crossover Episode Announced

On your mark, get set, GO! The upcoming The Loud House season four episode "How Double Dare You!" will see the Loud siblings ask Lisa to help them get on Nickelodeon's legendary game show, Double Dare!

Double Dare originally premiered on Oct. 6, 1986 on Nickelodeon and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Marc Summers served as the show’s original host from 1986-1993. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988 and was later revived as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nickelodeon, including Double Dare 2000. The show was famous for “Pick It”, a giant nose that may or may not sneeze green slime all over contestants, and the iconic obstacle course.

Most recently, the series was revived for two more seasons for a new generation of Nickelodeon viewers. Hosted by digital creator and actress Liza Koshy, Nickelodeon's Double Dare revival saw a new generation of fans compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives. Contestants were asked tricky questions, tackled physical challenges, navigated the super sloppy Double Dare obstacle course and get Slimed.

With Double Dare remaining an iconic touchstone for its original millennial audiences, the new version featured the gameplay and challenges they remember, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today, including original series host Marc Summers, who returned to give color commentary on the challenges, lending his vast knowledge of the game and expertise to each episode. The revived Double Dare premiered on Nickelodeon during Summer 2018, and concluded its run during Winter 2019.

It's currently unclear which version of Double Dare will feature in The Loud House episode "How Double Dare You!", and whether Marc Summers and Liza Koshy will guest star in the episode.

"How Double Dare You!" will be the second The Loud House episode to feature a iconic Nickelodeon game show, following 2017's "Legends" which featured Legends of the Hidden Temple. "Legends" saw original Legends of the Hidden Temple stars Kirk Fogg and Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad) reprise their roles as the host and the voice of the all-knowing Olmec, respectively. The episode also guest starred Henry Danger stars Jace Norman and Cooper Barnes.

"How Double Dare You!" has a production code #425A, and is paired with "Snoop's On" (#425B). In "Snoop's On", Leni and Lincoln secretly read Luna's diary. Air dates for both segments have yet to be announced.
