Judy Grafe, Actor Who Played Joyce Wrigley in 'Pete & Pete' Passes Away

Actor Judy Grafe, best known for playing Joyce Wrigley, the mother of Pete and Pete who famously had a metal plate in her head in Nickelodeon's beloved '90s comedy series The Adventures of Pete & Pete as well as Pete & Pete shorts and specials has sadly passed away.


In addition to playing the mom in Pete & Pete, Judy's resume included parts in *batteries not included, Judging Amy, Untold Stories of the ER, and Unsolved Mysteries, served as a panelist on Figure It Out, and appeared in on stage in Los Angeles and New York in shows such as The Seagull, 84 Charing Cross Road, Talking With and Sate of the Art.

Judy was also an emergency room volunteer, licensed real estate salesperson, and NY State certified volunteer firefighter, and served as a reporter for WPIX TV-New York City.

The Adventures of Danny and Mike: The Podcast, the podcast run by Pete & Pete stars Danny Tamberelli and Michael C. Maronna, who played Little Pete and Big Pete in the series, and producer Jeremy Balon, payed tribute to Judy on social media, saying: "Everyone here at D&M is gutted by the news of Judy's passing.
