Paramount Products & Experiences has announced that Luis Fernández has been appointed Executive Vice President (EVP) of creative for the division. Fernández previously served as head of consumer products at Skydance.
The appointment brings the Skydance Consumer Products team into Paramount Products & Experiences, consolidating both teams under one organization.
Fernández will lead creative vision and strategy across Paramount's global portfolio, overseeing creative development and execution across consumer products, publishing and location-based experiences. He will drive creative expression of Paramount's brands, franchises and characters across categories, partners, retailers and international markets.
"Luis brings tremendous creative expertise to our organization," says Josh Silverman, president, global products and experiences, Paramount. "His ability to blend data and insights with creative instinct will help us unlock new opportunities for our brands, partners and fans around the world. I am thrilled to welcome Luis and Skydance Consumer Products into the fold as we continue to grow and evolve the business."
Before joining Skydance, Fernández spent more than 20 years at The Walt Disney Company, most recently as Senior Vice President (SVP) of creative. In that role, he oversaw product design and franchise storytelling across brands including Mickey Mouse, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Disney Animation, as well as creative for Disney Parks and Disney Stores globally.
Fernández is based in Los Angeles and reports directly to Silverman.
