Nick Jr. UK Launches "Step by Step with Dora" To Help Preschoolers Towards Their Next Big First

Nickelodeon UK and Ireland's preschool channel, Nick Jr. UK and Ireland, has announced in a series of Tweets (posts) on their official Twitter profile page (@NickJrUK) that Nick Jr. UK and Eire has unveiled a brand new and exclusive area to their official "Dora the Explorer" show website called "Step by Step with Dora"!

Dora Step By Step is a all-new initiative and set of tools specially designed by Nick Junior to help preschoolers move towards their next big first. Whether it's taking their first holiday to learning to ride a bike, Nick Jr.'s megastar heroine will be right there with them along the way to encourage them! With Dora Step By Step, children are supported in developing their knowledge, skills and understanding that will help them to make sense of the world.

As part of their new Dora initiative, Nick Jnr. has unveiled a set of great downloads and printables. Divided into two categories - 'Lets Go!', which helps little one to discover, try, and explore new things in the big wide world out there, and 'I Can Do It!', which, as for a young child, there's nothing more exciting than doing something on their own for the first time, will have useful tips and resources for the major milestones in their life's, including for 'First day of school', and visiting the Doctors for the first time - and subcategories, parents can download and print great activity sheets and resources to help their preschoolers towards their next big first.

To launch with, parents and children can currently download tools from the 'Every Day Routines' sub-section, which features useful tips and activities to help little ones get used to their every day routines such as potty training and brushing their teeth, and has great selection of exclusive printables to download - a handy Bedtime Routine chart, a useful 'Brush with Dora' tooth brushing chart, and a great 'You Did It!' potty training trophy.

Nick Jr. has also unveiled a fantastic new web app called called 'Share The Moment', where pre-schoolers' can share their success of conquering key milestones by uploading their own photos to design their very own pictures using the apps' step-by-step wizard.

Nick Jr. will make available more resource sheets and activities to download in the coming months to help Jr.'s achieve more firsts, including gardening, camping, riding a bike, visiting the beach, going on a trip, getting their first pet, attending their first day at school, doing first homework, their first science class, birthdays, baking, party's, doing chores, attending sleepovers, and visiting the doctor.

Nickelodeon UK Showcases The Perfect Nick Bedroom At mi-Christmas Open House 2013 In London

It's NickMas in July! The Nickelodeon UK Press Office has announced in a Tweet (post) on their official Twitter profile page (@NickelodeonUKPR) the exciting Nick UK News that Nickelodeon UK have their own display at this years mi-Christmas Open House, a annual event which showcases some of the very latest products on display in their natural home setting! Situated at 9 Bathurst Street, London W2 2SD, the mi-Christmas Open House venue is a large, airy townhouse just five minute's walk from Paddington Station and 2 minutes from Lancaster Gate tube station, featuring three spacious communal entertaining spaces, seven showcase bedrooms and two roof terraces.

As part of Nickelodeon UK's display, Nickelodeon has taken over a bedroom to showcase some of the latest Nickelodeon merchandise (toys and homeware) from Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products UK (NVCP UK), including "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" plush toys and cups, a "SpongeBob SquarePants" duvet cover and pillow case, and brand new "Dinosaur Train" action figures!

The event launched today (Friday 5th July 2013) to the media only, however, the mi-Christmas Open House will be open again tomorrow (Saturday 6th July 2013) to both the media general public between 10.00am and 3.00pm. As part of Saturday's event, Sonic the Hedgehog and Tatty Teddy will be stopping by, and Father Christmas (Santa Claus) will also make appearance to give kids who attend special early Christmas presents!

Moonscoop Productions, Co-Producer Of Nickelodeon's "Lalaloopsy", Goes Into Administration

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the regrettable entertainment industry news that the Paris, France-based animation and production company Moonscoop Productions, who co-produces Nickelodeon's brand new CGI-animated preschool series "Lalaloopsy" with Los Angeles, California, USA-based MGA Entertainment, has gone into administration. The company, which also holds offices in L.A., called in an administrator on Thursday 20th June 2013:

Moonscoop, the Paris-based animation house behind such children’s series as Chloe's Closet and Code Lyoko, has gone into administration.

The company, which also holds offices in L.A., called in an administrator on June 20th.

The news follows Moonscoop's recent expansion into more digital platforms. In April, the company made its content available in the US and Canada on video-on-demand platform hoopla via public library cards. And the company’s on-demand kids entertainment network Kabillion significantly boosted its YouTube reach this past spring.

Moonscoop could not be reached for comment at this time.

Norway's NRK Acquires Rights To First Season Of Nickelodeon Northern Europe's "Hotel 13"

The entertainment industry news website C21Media is reporting the Nickelodeon International news that the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK has picked up the broadcast rights to season one of Nickelodeon Northern Europe's "Hotel 13", Nick's live-action daily soap opera for Nickelodeon's European channels!

"Hotel 13", a co-production between Nickelodeon Northern Europe and the Belgium production company "Studio 100", who also make the hit mystery Nickelodeon TV series, "House of Anubis" for Nickelodeon channels and networks around the world, is about six teenagers that could not be more different than each other who meet up with each other at Hotel 13, a beautiful Art Nouveau hotel near the sea, during the holidays. Tom and Anna have applied for summer jobs at the hotel, Flo is training in the kitchen, Victoria is a pampered guest, Jack is the son of the hotel owner, and as Anna's friend Liv arrives at the hotel, the group is complete. Tom has his own reasons for a summer job at the Hotel 13: He got a cryptic message to "find the room and 13th" But that's easier said than done, as seems to be a room with the number 13 did not give it." The search begins and with it a great holiday adventure full of friendship, fun and first love. The first season of "Hotel 13 - Die Zeit Deines Lebens (the time of your life)" includes 120 12-minute long episodes. The show currently airs locally on Nickelodeon Norway (Norge).
