Sneak Peeks Of The Brand New "Sam & Cat" Episode "#SalmonCat", Guest Starring Penny Marshall And Cindy Williams

To celebrate and promote Nick USA premiering and showing the brand new episode of the networks buddy comedy series "Sam & Cat" called "#SalmonCat", which guest stars the comedy duo Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams ("Laverne & Shirley"), who are reunited on screen in a scripted series for the first time in over 30 years, tonight (Saturday 9th November 2013) at 8pm (ET/PT), Nickelodeon has released a couple of fantastic online streaming sneak peek video clips from the all-new episode, which you can watch below here on NickALive!

In the all-new "Sam & Cat" episode "#SalmonCat", Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) are ordered to rename their babysitting business, Sam & Cat's Super Rockin' Fun-Time Babysitting Service, because it's too similar to "Salmon Cat", a TV show from the 1970s. Sam and Cat must track down the show's two original creators (played by Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams) and resolve their three decade-long feud.

Nick's "Laverne & Shirley" reunion is part of a celebration of Multigenerational TV Legend Garry Marshall, which will also feature a brand-new "See Dad Run" episode called "See Dad See Dad Run" that will reunite star Scott Baio with "Happy Days" creator Garry Marshall in a special homecoming on their former "Happy Days" set, which will premiere Sunday, Nov. 10, at 8p.m. (ET/PT) on Nick at Nite!

In first sneak peek video clip of "#SalmonCat", from The Huffington Post, Marshall's character meets with Sam to discuss meeting with her nemesis, her former "Salmon Cat" partner (played by Williams). Watch the two bond over Cheez Whiz and a barking dog!:

LOS ANGELES -- Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams play feuding ex-TV partners on an episode of Nickelodeon's "Sam & Cat," but they brush aside any comparison to their past.

The former "Laverne & Shirley" stars, who back in the day of their 1976-83 sitcom were reported to have crossed swords, said they were never enemies and remain friends despite lingering suggestions to the contrary.

"That was rumors. Any show you work on for eight years, you're gonna argue at some point," said Marshall. "Way overblown."

Williams agreed, but added a bit of detail.

"Yes, it was a bit overblown," she said. The actress added that she and Marshall have "very different personalities" with contradictory styles of working, which sometimes led to on-set clashes.

That said, Williams regularly visits Marshall's house to watch and discuss TV. There's a chill in the air, Williams said, but only because Marshall keeps her thermostat turned down and, to compensate, provides down coats and blankets for guests.

Marshall, whose big-screen directing credits include "A League of Their Own" and "Big," is busy working on a documentary about provocative ex-NBA player Dennis Rodman. But she and Williams were enticed by "Sam & Cat" creator Dan Schneider to guest star on the comedy airing at 8 p.m. EST on Saturday.

"He loved our show," Williams said. "He wanted to do a little tribute."

In the episode, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat (Ariana Grande) face having to rename their baby-sitting business because it's similar to "Salmon Cat," a faux 1970s TV show. The young women track down the show's creators (Marshall and Williams) and try to dissolve their enmity.

In another Nickelodeon reunion, "Happy Days" creator Garry Marshall (brother of Penny Marshall), makes a guest appearance on "See Dad Run" starring Scott Baio, a cast member on the 1974-84 sitcom starring Henry Winkler and Ron Howard.

The "See Dad Run" episode airs 8 p.m. EST on Sunday.

Nickelodeon UK Acquires Rights To Live Action/CG-Animated Series "Mia and Me"

World Screen, a publication which covers the international media business, is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon UK news in the following article that the Italian animation studio Rainbow S.r.l. ("Winx Club", "Huntik: Secrets & Seekers") has licensed the popular live action/CGI animated fantasy television series "Mia and Me" to Nickelodeon UK for broadcast on Nickelodeon U.K. and Ireland!

"Mia and Me" follows the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who leads a double life in a magical land filled with unicorns. The story begins when a girl named Mia, whose parent's tragically died when she was young, goes to a boarding school in Italy. Mia's aunt gives Mia a game that her father, a successful game maker, made before he died. Through the game, Mia finds herself hurled into the wondrous world of Centopia, full of elves, unicorns, pans and dragons. But the once idyllic kingdom is in danger. Evil Queen Panthea seeks to capture the unicorns and harness their power to keep her self young. The valiant elves, led by Prince Mo and daring warrior Yuko, plus Pan Phuddle, fight to stop her. Thanks to her unique ability to communicate with unicorns, Mia must safeguard the golden-horned Onchao. As Mia bounces between trying to fit in at her new school and her life as a fairytale elf, she becomes the key to saving Centopia.

The show, which combines animation and live action, is co-produced by Lucky Punch and m4e. It has aired in more than 80 territories around the globe, including on Nickelodeon South East Asia (on Nickelodeon Philippines, Nickelodeon Singapore and Nickelodeon Malaysia) and on Nickelodeon Benelux (comprising of Nickelodeon Belgium (Belgiƫ), Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland), and Luxembourg).

"U.K. audiences are in for a treat as Mia and me is a wonderful show that mixes very high production values with funny, exciting and original scripts," said Luana Perrero, the TV sales manager for Rainbow Group. "This winning combination has already led to huge worldwide popularity and with such a high-profile broadcasting partner as Nickelodeon on board I'm sure this success will be replicated in the U.K."

Tim Patterson, the VP and director of programming for Nickelodeon UK, added: "Mia and me is such a bright series, and will really complement our roster of vibrant new shows."

It is expected that Nick UK & Eire will debut the brand new show "Mia and Me" during Spring 2014.
