Is Jimmy Neutron coming to Fortnite? Here’s the answer
Rumors that Jimmy Neutron, the titular character of Nickelodeon's hit noughties movie and animated series was coming to Fortnite have been circulating on Twitter.
It comes after an account user posted a concept of Jimmy Neutron that closely resembled a Fortnite-style character.
The tweet went viral, amassing over 70,000 likes with many fans of the show believing that a Jimmy Neutron skin was on its way in current season of the game.
Given Fortnite’s slate of past collaborations including Nickelodeon (Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Carnival of Doom), Marvel and DC, this crossover was unexpected but seemed quite possible and many players expressed their excitement.
So, will there be a Jimmy Neutron skin?
The short answer is no.
Twitter user @StinkyBlueRat, who was the initial source of the rumour, admitted that it was a prank.
The image they posted that got everyone talking is actually of a mock-up created in April 2020 by artist Nazar Noschenko, who tweeted at the time that it was his take on Jimmy Neutron, adding: "Had a lot of fun interpreting the original design."
So, as of now Jimmy Neutron is not coming to Fortnite. However, it can’t be discounted as a future possibility given Epic Games’ interest in collaborations. It’s likely that developers are aware of this rumour and the concept art behind it, and it might lead them to create a skin as well.
Who is Jimmy Neutron?
The hit Nickelodeon show from the late 1990s and early 2000s revolved around Jimmy Neutron, a young boy from Texas who is a scientific genius, his two friends Sheen and Carl. The trio was often going on adventures with fancy gadgets and getting themselves into all sorts of predicaments. The show ran for 61 episodes across three seasons and ended in 2006, and was followed up by
Shout! Factory will be releasing The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: The Complete Series, including extras such as the pilot episode, on October 26!

'Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl' Is Already One of Steam's Best-Sellers
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl only launched a few hours ago and it's already topping Steam's charts.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launches on consoles and PC today (Oct. 5), and it already appears to be an incredibly popular title on Steam.
This week is an incredibly busy one when it comes to video game launches, and one of the biggest, most-hyped releases today is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
While it remains unclear how popular the game will be on consoles, a very early indicator of how All-Star Brawl will perform on PC has already shown itself. Although Steam's best-sellers list changes slightly depending on who looks at it, Nickelodeon's Smash Bros.-inspired brawler seems to be trading first place with New World no matter who checks it.
Amazon's New World launched last week and has taken the platform by storm. That All-Star Brawl is competing with it in terms of sales just a few hours after launching is pretty impressive. The Nick-based brawler is also above games like Battlefield 2042, CS: GO, and even FIFA 22 which has only been on the market since last Friday.
The hype for All-Star Brawl has likely been higher than developer Ludosity anticipated. The talk surrounding its roster has been similar to that of when a Smash character is set to be revealed, although not quite on the same level just yet. Speaking of which, All-Star Brawl will be looking to steal some of Smash Ultimate's thunder. The Switch stalwart's final DLC fighter will be officially announced later today.
As for All-Star Brawl's roster, Toph was added to its ranks ahead of launch, completing the reveal of which characters will be available and playable at launch. Ludosity has already revealed more fighters will be added post-launch, though. That means even though Smash Bros' new fighter discourse will officially come to an end for the foreseeable future later today, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's reign can officially begin.
