Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: Nintendo Switch Will Get Major Update on Nov. 4

Following Nickelodeon all-Star Brawl's initial release last month, there have been a few significant patches that have dropped for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. However, the Nintendo Switch version of the platform brawler is still currently locked to update 1.0.1. This is the day 1 patch that rolled out for all platforms. However, that's about to change!

Thaddeus Crews, Ludosity developer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, has confirmed that Nintendo Switch players will soon be updated to the same version of the game as the other platforms. The patch is scheduled to drop on November 4, 2021 — this Thursday.

"FINALLY can confirm that the Nintendo Switch version is getting the patch this Thursday," said Crews over Twitter this week. "This will bring the same fixes and features as the versions currently on PC and other consoles."

The upcoming patch will increase the directional influence (DI) window, remove several infinite combos from the game, and also add dash dancing, said Crews.

Predictably, there have been a number of issues in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl that have cropped up since the game's initial release. While many of these issues have been directly addressed on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions, Nintendo Switch owners have still been dealing with these problems.

At this point, it's been accepted that Michelangelo was the strongest character in the day 1 patch version of the game. This was mostly thanks to the properties of his neutral light aerial and his ability to stall out games with his infinite jump cancellable down special.

Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants series also served as a problem for the game as it was impossible to perform a tech (quick get up action) against her jab combo in certain circumstances. This made Sandy Cheeks extremely obnoxious to fight against as she basically had an inescapable infinite combo.

Crews also provided a breakdown of each update introduced so far, explained which version is running on each platform, and gave a peek at what’s to come in future patches:

• 1.0.0 - Day 1 Patch (current for Switch)
• 1.0.1 - Jablock Infinite Removal
• 1.0.2 - DI Adjustment, Dash Dancing (current, upcoming for Switch)
• 1.0.3 - Hurtbox Adjustment, Initial Dash Boost (upcoming)
• 1.0.4 - Hitbox Adjustment, [REDACTED]
• 1.0.0β - Release version

Below is a list of all patch notes we should expect for the Nintendo Switch version on Thursday. Note that these notes come from what was changed on other platforms. There are no new changes listed below:

Netflix's Live-Action 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Series Hiring 'Huge Number' of Stunt Performers, Martial Artists, Dancers and Movement Specialists

Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series is in the midst of hiring a “huge number” of stunt performers, martial artists, dancers, and movement specialists!

With filming set to start in Vancouver in just under three weeks, the production of Season 1 of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series is enlisting a “huge number of players” for the show, looking for “Asian & Indigenous performers with martial arts or dance backgrounds” and “movement specialists”, a source close to Avatar News has revealed.

This is particularly interesting as "Book One: Water" (and of course all of ATLA) features key epic battles and lots of intense fight choreography, of course both with and without bending. The fact that they’re going big with it… can’t deny the hype.

The series is set to star actors Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, and Dallas Liu portraying the likes of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Prince Zuko respectively.

Update (11/4) - Netflix is reportedly looking to cast more key players for the show, speculated to portray characters such as Uncle Iroh, Princess Azula, Gyatso and Zhao!

Original Host Kirk Fogg Returns to The CW's ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’ Reboot

’90s Nick Kids rejoice! The CW’s reimagining of Nickelodeon's classic Legends of the Hidden Temple game show will welcome back its original host, Kirk Fogg!

Fogg will make the return beginning this Sunday, Nov. 7 for a four-episode arc, where he will serve as the contestant mentor as they take on the Temple Run. These appearances will have him reuniting with long-time associate, Dee Bradley Baker (Star Trek: Prodigy), who reprises his role as the voice of Olmec, as well as his blue denim shirt.

This reboot shares many of the original elements of the show — Olmec, the Steps of Knowledge, Temple Guards, Moat Crossing, team names — but with a more “grown-up” appeal, including bigger stunts and, this time, adult contestants.

Fogg shared a photo of the two on set. (Left: Fogg, Rright: Baker)

Fogg’s appearance on Sunday, November 7 will also mark another reunion, as this week’s episode will feature contestants who first appeared on the original ’90s Nickelodeon version of the show.

Fogg previously returned to Legends of the Hidden Temple for Nickelodeon's hit live-action movie inspired by the iconic game show in 2016.

Legends of the Hidden Temple airs Sundays on The CW at 8 p.m ET/PT. Check out the season trailer below:

NICKELODEON TV HOST KIRK FOGG
I'M COMING BACK TO HOST 'LEGENDS' ...
With OG Contestants!!!

Get ready for a blast from the past ... Kirk Fogg says he's coming back as one of the faces of the rebooted '90s kids game show, "Legends of the Hidden Temple."

We got the former Nickelodeon host outside Starbucks in Studio City and he dished on what's to come in the rebooted CW version of 'Hidden Temple.'

Kirk doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag but he just can't hold his tongue ... telling us he's returning as a co-host Sunday alongside new host Cristela Alonzo ... and it doesn't sound like it's a one-episode deal.

THE LEGEND RETURNS

Remember ... we also got Kirk back in May and he liked one of our photog's pitches on potential contestants.

Well, as it turns out ... Kirk says he was able to make the vision a reality ... and some contestants from the OG show, which he hosted for 3 seasons in the '90s, are getting a redo!!!

Kirk also gives us his thoughts on the new host and new look ... and tells us some fun stories from Olmec's original labyrinths.
