LIVE Viacom18 and BookMyShow Partner to Bring ‘Peppa Pig Musical’ to India

MUMBAI: After running into packed houses across the US, UK, and Asia, Peppa Pig Musical, the live theatrical adaptation of the famed animated series on TV, is finally coming to India! LIVE Viacom18 and BookMyShow, India’s leading entertainment destination, have joined hands to bring Peppa along with her family and friends to the country, taking kids on a never-seen-before joyous ride. Presented by ICICI Bank Debit & Credit Cards, the all-new live stage show will keep fans talking, singing and dancing, wanting for more. The Peppa Pig Musical will tour 8 cities across 78 shows, starting this November.

Making Children’s Day more exciting for the little ones, the most charming little piggy on the block will hit the stage making its debut with the preview show at Bal Gandharv Rang Mandir, Mumbai on Thursday, November 14th, 2019.

With this musical, titled Peppa Pig Live! Peppa Pig's Celebration!, LIVE Viacom18 and BookMyShow are set to provide a unique out-of-home entertainment experience to Peppa Pig enthusiasts. This fully immersive musical with incredible life-sized characters with beautiful costumes will bring every kid’s favourite Peppa to life like never before and elevate their experience. Following its preview, LIVE Viacom18 and BookMyShow will roll out the carpet for the Peppa Pig Musical across seven other major cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

Nickelodeon Partners with Betsey Johnson for JoJo Siwa Fashion Collection

Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products (VNCP) has partnered with designer Betsey Johnson for a JoJo Siwa fashion collection.

The limited-edition JoJo Siwa by Betsey Johnson clothing and accessories range will be available exclusively at Bloomingdale’s beginning Monday, September 30, 2019.

Inspired by JoJo’s energetic personality and colorful style, the 18-piece line features apparel and accessories that are “ultra-glammed out” for girls sizes 4X to 12X. The collection includes dresses, skirts, bomber jackets, backpacks, and more. The range is available for US$32 to US$68 in stores and online.

Re:Anime Unveils 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Fan-Film Release Update

Indie studio Re:Anime has given fans an update about their upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender fan film titled, Avatar Agni Kai!

The fan film, which shows off both Zuko and Katara showing off their fire and water bending skills respectively, has been given a release date of December! What will the storyline be for this upcoming fan film that revisits the world of the Last Airbender? We'll have to wait for a few months to find out!

The original trailer was shared on Re:Anime's official Twitter account, giving us an idea of the amazing special effects work that fans of the series will be encountering in this brand new tale put together by this ever growing YouTube channel:


Zuko and Katara had a unique relationship, with Zuko acting almost as the third member of a love triangle between the water bender and Aang. Though the latter two eventually wound up together, it was Zuko who changed the most throughout the events of the franchise and truly discovered himself as he went from a Fire Nation fanatic to a young man questioning his place in life and attempting to fight against the nefarious forces of his father, the Fire Lord.

Avatar: The Last Airbender may have seen the story of Aang and company as the main protagonists conclude following its third season, but that world continued on in the sequel series, The Legend of Korra. The main storyline of Aang also continued in a series of Dark Horse comic book adaptations that dove into a lot of the arcs that weren't explored in the first series, such as Zuko attempting to "make amends" with his sister, which was coincidentally the proposed storyline for Avatar's fourth season.

Unfortunately, making the movie hasn't been plain sailing for Re:Anime. In the above video, Re:Anime creator Nik Shaw revealed that the first guy they hired to work on the project conned them, running away with the money the team had worked hard to save. However, the team found an amazing company called Poetic Image, who will be taking over Avatar Agni Kai's visual effects (VFX).

The Last Airbender’s story coupled with its anime-inspired artwork helped the franchise grow a loyal fanbase, and the series has continued to expand with various comics over the years. Recently, a young adult novel focusing on Avatar Kyoshi was released and has come to the official canon, leaving fans eager to learn more about the infamous warrior's tenure.
