Drake Bell And Jerry Trainor Reunite For New Movie, 'Cover Versions'

Hug me, brotha! Drake & Josh stars Drake Bell and Jerry Trainor are set to reunite in the brand-new movie, Cover Versions!

Joining Drake (Byron) and Jerry (Travis) on the movie will be fellow Nickelodeon alum Ashley Argota (Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures) as Amber, as well as Debby Ryan (Jessie) as Maple, Taylor Swift's brother, Austin Swift as Kirk, Katie Cassidy as Jackie, and Jenn An (Haunted Hathaways) as Lucy. Plus, a bunch of other faces that you will surely recognize.

The plot of the film reportedly follows the unreliable stories of four band members who try to accurately recount a night of shenanigans before they have to play at their first big show at a popular music festival. It's a murder mystery that gives insight to the debauchery that goes on behind the scenes in the music world between bands and artists. It's almost a look inside the lives of people you see on stage during your favorite music festivals.

The director of the film, Todd Berger, posted this photo on Twitter with the caption, "A better look at the first COVER VERSIONS poster featuring @DrakeBell, @MzKatieCassidy, @austinswift7, @jerrytrainor, @ashleyargota9, and @DebbyRyan ."

The film reportedly wrapped shooting at the end of 2016 and the cast was just spotted on the red carpet together at the 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival for the world premiere of the movie. Not only that but Debby also took to social media to share some candid photos with her castmates before the event.

Nickelodeon Star Buddy Handleson and His Boyfriend Make Their Instagram Debut

Love is in the air for Nickelodeon star Buddy Handleson, and he wants the world to know! Buddy is best known for his role as Wendell and Newt Van Der Rohe in the Nickelodeon comedy series Wendell & Vinnie and Bella and the Bulldogs, respectively, and while we don't get to see his hilarious characters, including the geeky football player who really has no desire to be on his schools football team, each week anymore, his personal life IRL is going strong. Buddy took to Instagram to formally introduce his many followers and you know, the world, to his boyfriend Logan Quintana!

"Experiencing SF and Pride with this guy was so amazing. we also helped my sister with a wedding, hence the aprons and flowers!!!! and now that I'm out to all of you, I finally get to show him off on the gram!!!" he wrote in the caption of an adorable photo of the pair kissing, which he shared back at the end of June.

Aww, what a way to make your official IG debut as a couple. The fact that this is exactly how Buddy chose to open up about his sexuality, on his own terms with someone he cares about by his side, is truly special.

His former co-stars are happy to see Buddy so happy too, with Lilimar dropping a lovely comment under the photo.

And the cuteness overload didn't stop there! The 17 year old's boyfriend also shared a precious selfie of the couple, and they look as happy as ever together.

"Had a wonderful vacation with my BF. He was my tour guide through the beautiful city of San Francisco. Can't wait to go back!" Logan shared in the caption.

Nickelodeon Cancels Sitcom "Wendell & Vinnie"

The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the Nickelodeon news that Nickelodeon has decided to cancel and not renew the networks live-action family comedy series called "Wendell & Vinnie" for a second season.

The sitcom, which stars Jerry Trainor (Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and "T.U.F.F. Puppy") and Buddy Handleson (Disney Channel's "Shake It Up"), was originally planned to be broadcast in Nickelodeon USA's nighttime programming block, Nick at Nite (stylized as nick@nite), and be paired with "See Dad Run", but was moved to be part of Nick USA's programming just before the series premiered on Saturday 16th February 2013.

After the show was moved around Nickelodeon USA's schedule a couple of times, Nick USA removed the show from their schedules 14 episodes into the show's 20-episode order. Nickelodeon had indicated the networks plan was to relaunch the series in September 2013 around other originals and even ordered backup scripts, but the network ultimately decided to cancel the series. It is currently unknown whether the six remaining episodes will air.

"Wendell & Vinnie" also recently started to air internationally, making its international debut on Nickelodeon UK and Ireland in June 2013. To celebrate the British & Irish launch of the show, Nick UK & Eire commissioned a study about the differences in maturity between genders, finding that men finally grow up at the age of 43 – a full 11 years after women 'mature':

Revealed: Men finally grow up aged 43 (11 years after women)


Men finally grow up at the age of 43 – a full 11 years after women ‘mature’, it emerged yesterday (Mon).

A study into the differences in maturity between genders revealed both men and women agree blokes remain ‘immature’ well into their late 30s and early 40s.

But the average age at which women mature emerged as 32.

Alarmingly, eight out of ten women believe that men ‘never stop being childish’ – with breaking wind, burping, eating fast food in the early hours and playing videogames their biggest bug-bears.

Staying silent during arguments, not being able to cook simple meals and re-telling the same old jokes and stories when with the lads were also hailed as signs of immaturity.

The research was commissioned by Nickelodeon UK to mark the launch of the new show Wendell & Vinnie showing weeknights at 7:00pm.

Tim Patterson VP, Director of Programming, Nickelodeon UK, said: ”As a man, especially one who works for a children’s channel, the question if men ever reach maturity is one I am well accustomed to.

”However as the characters Wendell and Vinnie show in our new programme, a difference in maturity between two people definitely makes for an amusing partnership.”

Both men and women agreed women reach proper maturity much earlier than guys, at the typical age of 32.

Men were nearly twice as likely to describe themselves as immature than were women with one in four men believing they are actively immature.

Women were also twice as likely as men to feel that they were the ‘grown up’ one in their current relationship.

One quarter of women felt they were the ones made all the important decisions in the relationship with the same percentage wishing their partner would talk about themselves and what they’re feeling more often.

Women also found British men’s biggest maturity failings were still finding breaking wind funny, driving too fast and playing videogames.

Three in ten women have ended a relationship because they lost patience with the guy being too immature.

A whopping 46 per cent of women have had a relationship in which they felt they had to mother their partner a bit too much.

In fact the average British woman has to tell her cheeky partner to ‘act his age’ more than once a month – an average of 14 times a year.

Immaturity does have it upside though with four in ten people think immaturity is important in a relationship because it ensures the partnership stays fun and keeps things fresh.

One in three people think a bit of immaturity helps in bonding well with children.

The brand-new, comedy series, Wendell & Vinnie, follows 30-year-old Vinnie Bassett, a carefree bachelor, who suddenly becomes the legal guardian of his wise-beyond-his-years nephew Wendell.

Vinnie's bachelor life comes to a halt when he assumes guardianship of his incredibly intelligent and mature nephew, Wendell. They soon find that 12-year-old Wendell may be just the parent Vinnie needs. The series will air regularly every weeknight at 7:00pm on Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon Star and actor Ryan Potter, who portrays the character 'Mike Fukunaga' on the hit live action Nickelodeon show "Supah Ninjas", confirmed the news in May 2013 that Nickelodeon has decided to cancel and not renew "Supah Ninjas" for a third season ("Supah Ninjas" season 3).
